Call for Muslims Reform
Call for Muslims: Instead of cursing Israel, America and the West, let’s reform ourselves
The comments on my political articles in our site accuse me of sympathy with the West, America; and Israel.
My reply is as follows:
1- Our task is to reform the Muslims and not to reform the Israelis, the Americans or the westerners. Others, they purify themselves and take advantage of their mistakes. As for us-we are full of the evils of the world-and we never get bored of admiring our successes of the past. The remainder of our time is in the criticism of the West and attacks on America and cursing Israel.
The West, which we criticize, constantly make advances which we rely on, in food and medicine; from it, we import arms to kill each other with, and we get assistance from them for our poor, and the stolen money ends up in our rulers’ bank accounts.
And Israel, who we curse day and night, defeated us in every battle. We are satisfied by shouting and screaming. If one of our mentors wants to reform and criticize our affairs and explains why Israel has won every battle, he is faced with accusations that he praises the enemy instead of praying for their destruction.
2- We usually hear on Friday sermons: “pray to defeat the West and the Jews”, and the more we pray for victory, the more those prayers are turned against us, and our oppressor is the one who conquers us. The more prayers for victory against the disbelievers, the more we are faced with those prayers coming back against us.
The Muslim oppressor is the one who justified stealing our money, our blood and dignity. In spite of that he asks us to glorify him, and twists our anger to fall on Israel, America and the West.
3- And the strange thing is that we call upon the rulers of the West, to work for us to ensure that our interests and needs are taken care of, as if we selected and chose them for our service. We forget that the western President was elected by his people to serve them not us, and who must serve us but our rulers who control us with an iron fist. Instead of asking those dictators to serve us, we ask the governors of the West.
We must engage in battles in order to regain our freedom from seizure by the local tyrants in Muslim countries. They will not give up easily, and every tyrant knows that if he retreats one inch, he will be engaged in a series of concessions which will lead to his imprisonment and murder. Therefore he must cling to his seat until his death.
Confrontation is inevitable. Every extra day that the oppressor is in leadership means more theft, more murder and more mass graves over cries of millions tortured and subjugated.
What the West can offer, along with good wishes, is to help us in what we are doing and not to do the work for us while we are in sleep mode. We do not expect the West to bring back our freedom from the local oppressor, at the same time while we are shouting long live the tyrant.
The West has struggled for centuries to rid itself of the coalition of clergy, the tyranny of rulers, the domination of the church and the feudal nobles. Intellectuals in the West who brought the civil rights of minorities and people of color, who stood with the rights of workers and the poor, and are now encouraging organizations, human rights, transparency, democracy abroad, are continuously in the process of reform. We look suspiciously to the goodness they are doing for us, we consider it as a conspiracy and interference in our affairs. As if the oppression of the local occupation (dictators) to us is at the heart of nationalism, sovereignty and dignity in our country.
We are the ones, who wronged ourselves and became lazy and submissive, increasing our vulnerability.
This tragedy needs real reform, and reform must begin with the accurate characterization of the disease. This is what we are trying to do.
