Woman’s rights

نص السؤال:
About the right of the woman you said:
I pray in a Moroccan mosque here in Wuppertal, Germany. When the president and other persons are elected only men can vote. Women can not become members of
the organization. Why?
Women are not allowed to enter the prayer hall. They have a room for themselves in "our" mosque. I have pointed out that this - so far as I know - is not sunna, since the Prophet (s) had men and women pray together. They
answer that because of the whole body of ahadith it's possible to elaborate general rules. And one of the general rules in Islam is that men and women are to be kept completely separate their whole life through. This rule is so general that it's stronger than the habits of our beloved prophet.
I personally have difficulties to understand that a rule can be so general as to ignore what the prophet (s) did. Particularly if the quran does not contain that same rule.

God bless you. You are absolutely right.The woman in Islam has the right to be imam in prayers as any man. It is up to the qualification not to gender. I wrote and article supporting Amina Wadoud in New Yourk to be Imam in the mosque for all Muslims there.
