During four years as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen has presided over two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, a period of historic change in the Middle East, and the capture of Osama bin Laden. Days before the end of his term, he will deliver an address reflecting on his tenure and the challenges ahead for the U.S. military.

Admiral Mike Mullen is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the highest-ranking officer in the U.S. Armed Forces and the President’s principal military advisor. Before assuming his current post, Admiral Mullen served as the 28th Chief of Naval Operations, the Navy’s top uniformed leader.
