The outcome of discussion about democracy with my students

until 31 August 2010. The principal duties of the post are to give lectures
and classes in Islamic History during the absence on research leave of the
current postholder, and to examine. Candidates should have a primary field
of expertise in the Middle Periods of Islamic history; hold, or be working
towards, a doctorate in an appropriate field; and be able to demonstrate
that they can teach medieval Islamic history and text classes in classical
and medieval Arabic.

فرصة ثمينة للباحثين في الإسلاميات

هذه الفرصة تعد فرصة ثمينة للباحثين في تاريخ العصور الوسطى أي في إسلاميات العصور الوسطى الحاصلبين على الدكتوراه أو يعملون بها ، لكن السؤال ماذا لو كان الباحث لا يحمل درجة الدكتوراه أو يعمل بهذه الدرجة ؟؟ هل سوف يحرم من فرصة قيمة مثل هذه الفرصة ؟ وما هو احتمال حصول باحث لا يحمل سوى مؤهله الجامعي في الحصول على فرصة مناسبة ؟.

The Middle East Institute and the Department of Middle Eastern, South Asian and African Studies at Columbia University invite applications for an appointment as Arcapita Visiting Professor of Modern Arab Studies for a one-semester position for the fall 2017 or spring 2018 semester. The position may be filled at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, Visiting Associate Professor, or Visiting Professor. We are interested in candidates whose field of research and teaching is in history, culture, or social sciences of the modern Arab world. The incumbent will be expected to teach two courses in this field, to participate in the activities of the Middle East Institute and to give a brown bag lecture and other such public lectures as may be appropriate. The position offers competitive remuneration.
