Minimum Requirements:  Experience:  One year of experience in applicable human service setting which involved direct, substantive client contact and service delivery.  Education:  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree.  Equivalency:  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.  U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
 
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST III, GRADE 24                    Job:  IRC5071

Minimum Qualifications:  Experience:  Three (3) years experience in environmental health investigatory/enforcement work after having obtained Registration as an Environmental Sanitarian (or equivalent registration).  Education:  None beyond that required to obtain Registration as an Environmental Sanitarian in the State of Maryland.  Equivalency:  Five (5) years of experience equivalent to that performed by Registered Environmental Sanitarians can be substituted for experience.  License:  Possession of Registration as an Environmental Sanitarian in the State of Maryland pertaining to private water supply/sewer disposal.  Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.

Minimum Qualifications:  Experience:  One year (1) full time satisfactory experience in community-based corrections or in other human services work emphasizing treatment/counseling.  Education:  Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.  Equivalency:  Excess education may be substituted for required experience, but excess experience may not be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree, as the educational requirement is stipulated by the Maryland State Training Commission.  Individuals appointed to this position must be at least 21 years of age on the date of appointment and either be a citizen or the United States or a resident alien.
