Members of the Journalists Syndicate conveyed their condolences to the families of three reporters killed during the dispersal of the Rabaa and al-Nahda sit-ins on Wednesday.
The syndicate also said ten other reporters had been harassed, assaulted, injured, or had their equipment confiscated by authorities.
A statement issued by the syndicate said three reporters were confirmed dead during the incidents, namely Ahmed Abdel Gawwad, a reporter at Al Akhbar, Habiba Abdel Aziz, a reporter at Gulf News, and Mick Dean, a British photojournalist at Sky News.
The syndicate called for immediate investigations into their deaths and emphasized the importance of allowing journalists to carry out their work safely.
Asmaa Wageeh of Reuters and Alaa al-Qamhawy of Al-Masry Al-Youm were shot in the foot and Ahmed al-Naggar, also of Al-Masry Al-Youm, was shot in the arm and his equipment was stolen.
Mostafa al-Sheemy, from the website Masrawi, was assaulted and his camera was broken. Ahmed Torana, Hamada al-Rassam, Eman Helal, and Omar Saher, all photojournalists from Al-Masry Al-Youm, had their equipment destroyed and confiscated. Amr Diab and Tareq Abbas from Al-Watan were arrested and Diab was later released.
