Labour and democratic political powers’ call should be addressed for:
The democratic rights of the Egyptian workers.
The immediate issuance of the Law on Trade Union Freedoms,
Stopping the illusive corrupt practices of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation which was a part of the oppressive and corrupt regime dominated and oppressed the workers for many decades, for dissolving this institution or shifting its constitution, structures, objectives and rules to agree the main labour standards and be truthful labour organization.
The conference is also bringing up the challenges which face the newly established unions under the paradoxes of the transitional stage, the obstinacy of businessmen and many administrative bodies in dealing with those newly established unions, and the arbitrary measures taken that have been taken against trade unionists.
