Insofar as we are one Arab nation from the Atlantic Ocean to the Arabian Gulf, and, having congratulated our brothers in Libya on the demise of an insufferable forty-two year nightmare, in the spirit of brotherhood, we ought to offer them a summary of our experience in the wake of our success in toppling our own despot.
The rebels in Libya ought to begin calmly thinking so as to not make the same mistake we made here in Egypt or in Tunisia, for that matter. Read More.

The current controversy over United States aid given to Egyptian civil society stems from a lack of clarity pervading relations between the two countries on this issue. This comes at a time when Egypt is going through a decisive period-the birth of a democratic state- for which millions of Egyptians took to the streets last January in order to bring down the regime of Hosni Mubarak.
