The Christians and the Muhammadans: The Warring Brothers:
There Is No God except Allah

Translated by Ahmed Fathy
He said to me: Can there be any solution for the fanaticism acts between the Christians and the Muhammadans, as you call them?
I said to him: No, as long as they remain Christians and Muhammadans; they worship mortals alongside with God.
He said: Why?
I said: Because the center of the faith of the Muhammadans is a mythical immortal deity in their imagination called Muhammad. Likewise, the center of the faith of the Christians is mythical immortal deity in their imagination called Christ. The real Christ and Muhammad are mortal prophets according to the Quran. The real Gospel, now lost, contained the real personality of Christ we find in the Quran. Both Christians and Muhammadans are fanatical in the protection and propagation of their mortal deities. As long as both parties worship mortals beside the Almighty as well as falsehoods that came down from their ancestors, conflict and fanaticism will remain.
He said: But there are internal conflicts within Christian denominations as well as within the three major types (and the underlying subdivisions of each type) of Muhammadans: Shiite, Sunnite, and Sufis, right?
I said: Conflicts on both sides gain more momentum, spread, magnitude, diversification, and bifurcations with the passage of time.
He aid: How is that?
I said: The message of Prophet Jesus is contained, in brief, in the Quran: "A messenger to the Children of Israel: "I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I make for you out of clay the figure of a bird; then I breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by God's leave. And I heal the blind and the leprous, and I revive the dead, by God's leave. And I inform you concerning what you eat, and what you store in your homes. In that is a sign for you, if you are believers." "And verifying what lies before me of the Torah, and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. I have come to you with a sign from your Lord; so fear God, and obey me." "God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path." "(3:49-51). Accordingly, Jesus was a prophet sent to the Israelites to assert the Torah and its main tenet: There is no deity except God; the Lord of Jesus and of the Jews as well. This is the straight path. When Jesus spoke in his cradle, he said the same facts of faith: "He said, "I am the servant of God. He has given me the Scripture, and made me a prophet. And has made me blessed wherever I may be; and has enjoined on me prayer and charity, so long as I live. And kind to my mother, and He did not make me a disobedient rebel. So Peace is upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the Day I get resurrected alive." That is Jesus son of Mary - the Word of truth about which they doubt. It is not for God to have a child-glory be to Him. To have anything done, He says to it, "Be," and it becomes." God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path." "(19:30-36).
He said: This is the original narrative, but what happened next?
I said: Jesus was a local prophet exclusively to the Israelites alone; yet, using his name falsely, the faith we now call Christianity has been made international beyond the Jews into the Roman Empire, which had its polytheistic creeds of deifying mortals/humans. Hence, the mortal human Jesus has been deified as God or a son begotten by God!
He said: Who introduced this blasphemous notion?
I said: the so-called St. Paul, a.k.a. Saul the Jew.
He said: Who is Paul and what did he do exactly?
I said: he emerged after the death of Jesus. He was a fanatical Jew who was against the early Christians. He claimed that on his way from Damascus to Jerusalem, he saw Jesus on a vision that made him convert to Christianity. He became an apostle of the deification of Jesus. Through Paul, Christianity spread as an earthly, human-made, fabricated creed that reproduced all basic notions of paganism: trinity, clergy, baptism, and the last supper are heathen Pharaonic practices.
He said: This is serious talk!
I said: With an aim of reformation by explaining historical truths.
He said: But Christians deny the Quran you quote as divine revelation.
I said: Let us then quote Christian researchers.
He said: Like who?
I said: The Christian Egyptian Copt Habeeb Saeed in his book titled "History of Christianity". We cite the following quotation from this book: (Paul struggled with Jews and former Jews who recently converted to Christianity to re-create Christina faith into a full-fledged creed apart from the Jewish faith, and he managed to do that. Some historical commentators say that Paul is the true founder of the pillars of Christianity and its theology… Paul entered into it a great deal of Jewish notions as well as Greek philosophical ones…Paul as a theologian portrayed Christ in an image that differs a lot from its image in the four Gospels…). That is, Paul re-created the image of Jesus from a messenger and a prophet into a deity.
He said: Habeeb Saeed might be a former Christian Copt!
I said: John Lorimer in his book titled "The History of the Church" in the chapter titled ''Paul the Apostle and the Christianity of the Gentiles" asserts the imprint of Paul on Christianity, by saying: (Here we come to the giant personality in the history of Christendom … this personality is Paul the Apostle who wrote about one-third of the New Testament – the Gospels – and his theological notions became final in all ages…). That is, most people at the time of Paul followed the creed that deified Jesus.
He said: What else can you quote for me?
I said: A French researcher on creeds and religions has written a lot on the subject of the influences carried by Paul from his environment to imbue into Christianity spread all over the Roman Empire. This researcher is the well-known Charles Jean-Pierre, Head of the Religions Studies Department at the University of Paris. In his book titled "Christianity: Its Emergence and Development", he tackles Paul and his impact on Christianity within three chapters. He asserts the following facts: Paul never met Jesus. Paul's theology was an offshoot of his environment and the Jewish/Greek culture he absorbed; he copied notions such as salvation via a dying/resurrected god from Osiris, the Ancient Egyptian god of the dead. He says further in his book the following facts: (It is unquestionable that conversion of Paul into Christianity did not happen near Jerusalem and he never met the Apostles of Christ…) the French researcher talks about the Pauline vision of Christ that turned him from the fore of Christians to a Christian himself by saying: (…the so-called vision he claimed to experience on his way from Damascus to Jerusalem did not change Paul, but redirected him to apply his old notions by reintroducing them into a new direction…). Jean-Pierre mentions a major fact of paramount importance of how Christ was turned from a creature of God who worshipped Him into a deified figure: a son of God. This notion was first propagated by Paul. Jews used to call a prophet who received divine revelation as Yahweh's servant. When this titled was translated into Greek, the Greek word for ''a servant'' can be used to signify ''a child''. Hence, Paul chose to call Christ as a son of God. People got confused and wondered if Christ was the incarnation of God or a son begotten by God. For instance, the Coptic Egyptian Church has asserted its belief in the complete divinity of Christ; Romans adhered at first to the notion of the divine son. Clerical and theological arguments ensued concerning the amount of mortal humanity and divinity in Christ's lifetime. Councils on an international level were held to settle debates on theological notions. God says in the Quran about such ecclesiastical councils: "But the various factions differed among themselves; woe to those who disbelieve in the scene of a tremendous Day of Judgment."(19:37).
He said: Do you have more to say on the subject?
I said: H. G. Wells in his famous book titled "The Outline of History" mentions the development of the doctrines of Christianity and the role of Paul in spreading and propagation of his Christianity that deifies Jesus: (… St. Paul was among the greatest founders of the Christian creed. He never saw Christ preaching among people. His original name was Saul… He used to persecute the followers of the Apostles… he converted suddenly to Christianity and changed his name into Paul…). Wells talks about the pagan influences on Paul's theology: (…Paul borrowed some notions from pagans to introduce them within Christian framework: the bald clergymen, votive offerings, candles, shrines, carols, statues and statuettes pertaining to gods like Mithras and other gods of Alexandria. Paul borrowed all their terminology and phrases and its theological notions…). Wells shows the link between Paul's theology and the Pharaonic creeds: (…Paul propagated the notion that Jesus, like Osiris, died and resurrected to grant people immortality…).
He said: What is your own opinion of what they have written?
I said: The Quran precedes the existence of all such views by human beings: The Jews said, "Ozeir is the son of God," and the Christians said, "The Messiah is the son of God." These are their statements, out of their mouths. They emulate the statements of those who blasphemed before. May God assail them! How deceived they are!" (9:30). Jews mentioned in the Quran are the unbelievers who did not have the true faith of Moses among the Israelites. There were true believers among the early Israelites and those who believed the message of Jesus as a mortal prophet. Among such people those who mixed good deeds with bad ones and among them were those who were errant, misguided, immoral, and thoroughly lacked true faith. The same categories can be found among Muslims past and present. Apparently, some Jews worshiped the Pharaonic god Osiris, the third line in the Egyptian Pharaonic trinity Isis, Osiris, and Horus. Osiris is called in hieroglyphics ''Osir'', when one removed the Greek suffix. Refer to the above-mentioned verse, you will find the name ''Ozeir'', this name might refer to the same Pharaonic god of death. Some Jews claimed that this Pharaonic god is a son of Yahweh. Christians, under the influence of Paul, claimed that Jesus is a son of God. The above verse asserts that such claims imitate the false views of unbelievers: such as the Pharaonic trinity. Muhammadans in Egypt revived the Pharaonic god Osiris as ''Azrael'' the angel of death in their popular culture that goes against the Quran. There is nothing new under the sun! All pagan notions persist with the passage of centuries!
He said: What about the conditions of the Muhammadans?
I said: Arabs conquered many nations that re-introduced the notions of their former faiths into their new beliefs: the twin gods of evil and goodness of Persia became Ali Ibn Abou Talib the deified mortal of all goodness and the evils gods were other caliphs Omar, Abou Bakr, and Othman in the Shiite creed. The Sunnite and Sufi creeds in Egypt deified Muhammad because Egyptians were former Christians who worshipped Christ, and formerly a pantheon of Pharaonic gods. Hence, local creeds and notions were revived assuming Arabic names.
He said: But the Muhammadans do not day that Muhammad is the son of God, right?
I said: They do not claim this straightforwardly, but they infiltrated the same notions of deified mortals: claiming in hadiths (sayings) that Muhammad was the light of God, and that he was born before Adam! The same we find in the traditions, contrary to the Quran, of the Sunnites, Shiites, Sufis, Wahabis, Salafis...etc. who all claim to be Muslims. They made Muhammad the reason for which God created the universe! They competed in attributing to him divine epithets and qualities. Hadiths that assert the divine features of Muhammad in their views are countless.
He said: What further unites Christians and Muhammadans apart from the deification of Jesus and Muhammad?
I said: Both claim that Jesus (and Muhammad) is the light of God sent to the world that gave divinity as well to apostles, saints, companions, imams…etc.
He said: Could you cite Quranic proofs of that?
I said: The Quran says about the Jews and the Christians: "The Jews and the Christians say, "We are the children of God, and His beloved." Say, "Why then does He punish you for your sins?" In fact, you are humans from among those He created. He forgives whom He wills, and He punishes whom He wills. To God belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and what lies between them, and to Him is the return."(5:18). The same boasting occurs within the Muhammadans: they claim they are beloved by God who will get them into Paradise just because they are born Sunnites, or Shiites, or Sufis, ...etc. and thus they claim to be more superior and higher than the rest of humanity! Therefore, they contempt other people not following their doctrine!
He said: Is there other similar point between Muhammadans and Christians?
I said: Muhammadans worship/deify/sanctify imams and clergy dead and alive. The same applies to Christians and Jews: "They have taken their rabbis and their priests as lords instead of God, as well as the Messiah son of Mary. Although they were commanded to worship none but The One God. There is no god except He. Glory be to Him; High above what they associate with Him." (9:31). God warns the believers in the following verses: "O you who believe! Many of the rabbis and priests consume people's wealth illicitly, and hinder from God's path. Those who hoard gold and silver, and do not spend them in God's cause, inform them of a painful punishment. On the Day when they will be heated in the Fire of Hell, then their foreheads, and their sides, and their backs will be branded with them: "This is what you hoarded for yourselves; so taste what you used to hoard." "(9:34-35). Yet, countless past and present imams and clergy of the Muhammadans consume ill-gotten money. So many sheikhs/ popes/ clergymen/ imams/ Wahabis/ Salafis/ Azharites/ Mullahs and their likes in all human-made creeds gained huge wealth by the same fraudulent means. All of them deviate and mislead others by making them ignore the Quran. See (9:32-33) that applies to them.
He said: What else?
I said: Wahabis in the West countries never cease to seek ill-gotten money by fraudulence as if the money of non-Muslim can be stolen without qualms or fear of punishment in the Afterlife! Reputations of Arabs in the West have been tarnished as a result. The verse applies to such Wahabi fraudulent people is the same one applies to fraudulent people in Yathreb in the time of Prophet Muhammad: "Among the People of the Book is he, who, if you entrust him with a heap of gold, he will give it back to you. And among them is he, who, if you entrust him with a single coin, he will not give it back to you, unless you keep after him. That is because they say, "We are under no obligation towards the gentiles." They tell lies about God, and they know it. Indeed, whoever fulfills his commitments and maintains piety-God loves the pious. Those who exchange the covenant of God, and their vows, for a small price, will have no share in the Hereafter, and God will not speak to them, nor will He look at them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. They will have a painful punishment. "(3:75-77)
He said: The Quran contains reforming notions to all believers: Jews and Christians and Muslims as well, right?
I said: Certainly: "O People of the Book! Our Messenger has come to you, clarifying for you much of what you kept hidden of the Book, and overlooking much. A light from God has come to you, and a clear Book.God guides with it whoever follows His approval to the ways of peace, and He brings them out of darkness into light, by His permission, and He guides them in a straight path. They disbelieve those who say, "God is the Christ, the son of Mary." Say, "Who can prevent God, if He willed, from annihilating the Christ son of Mary, and his mother, and everyone on earth?" To God belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and what is between them. He creates whatever He wills, and God has power over everything. The Jews and the Christians say, "We are the children of God, and His beloved." Say, "Why then does He punish you for your sins?" In fact, you are humans from among those He created. He forgives whom He wills, and He punishes whom He wills. To God belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and what lies between them, and to Him is the return.O People of the Book! Our Messenger has come to you, making things clear to you-after a cessation of messengers-so that you cannot say, "No preacher has come to us, and no warner." In fact, a preacher has come to you, and a warner; and God is Capable of everything. "(5:15-19).
He said: The Muslims should have learned the lesson and never persecute others pitilessly.
I said: The Quran is a miracle; it predicts all faults of the Muhammadans; they are the same ones committed by Jews and Christians who have been advised against in the Quran. Yet, few take heed.
He said: Give me an example, please.
I said: When we read the Quranic verse: "Say, "O People of the Book, come to terms common between us and you: that we worship none but God, and that we associate nothing with Him, and that none of us takes others as lords besides God." And if they turn away, say, "Bear witness that we have submitted." "(3:64), we find that the Muhammadans worship now mortals among themselves beside God.
He said: What else?
I said: "They disbelieve those who say, "God is the Christ, the son of Mary." Say, "Who can prevent God, if He willed, from annihilating the Christ son of Mary, and his mother, and everyone on earth?" To God belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and what is between them. He creates whatever He wills, and God has power over everything. "(5:17). We see clearly that the Muhammadans do not take heed of such warning of deifying prophet Jesus; they deify Prophet Muhammad and worship his shrine/tomb as well during pilgrimage. We, Quranists, say to the Muhammadans: who can prevent God, if He willed, from annihilating Muhammad and everyone on earth?
He said: When will the Christians-Muhammadans conflicts come to an end?
I said: When they stop deifying and worshipping mortals and declare that there is no deity beside God/Allah.
