Mubarak will not be transferred to prison hospital
CAIRO: Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will not leave Sharm el-Sheikh hospital soon according to the medical report based on his condition and living conditions of Torah prison hospital, said General Prosecution statement.
The statement said there will be a special committee of prominent cardiologists to monitor Mubarak’s condition, noting Torah prison hospital is not suitable to receive patients suffering critical conditions.
The prosecution sent the medical report to the concerned criminal court to be attached with the file of the investigation. The Ministry of Interior also received a photocopy of the report.
According to the medical report, the Mubarak suffers from chronic atrial fibrilliation, low blood pressure, deficiency in blood circulation of the brain, and an unbalance in the heart ventricle beats, which could cause cardiac arrest.
The statement said the medical committee put Mubarak in the intensive care unit since he suffers from chronic depressive disorder, and cannot leave his bed without help from other people.
