African Kings and Sultans Name Gaddafi King of Kings
African kings, princes, mayors, sultans and chieftains have bestowed the title of "Africa's king of the kings" on Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
This came in a statement they issued at the end of their meeting in the Libyan city Ben Ghazi two days ago. The meeting was broadcast by US CNN.
The statement adds that these leaders appreciate Gaddafi's effective contribution to the liberation of Africa from colonialism by backing all liberation movements in Africa.
They also expressed willingness to bring their masses and tribes under Gaddafi's wise leadership.
The phenomenon of Colonel Gaddafi seems to some as a comedy, but, in fact, what he is doing is a result of the deteriorating Arab situation for more than half a century, said Wahid Abdel-Meguid, deputy chairman of Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies.
This Arab situation is a victim of prevalent stupid stereotypes in the inter-Arab relations, he added. The absurd behavior is not only of Gaddafi but also of all Arab leaders, Abdel-Meguid said, noting that the difference is that all other Arab leaders wrap their absurdity.
