Dear Friends,

 

 

 

Last night in a hotel convention hall with a large TV monitor, my wife and I were among friends from different walks of life, assembled to view the results of a historic election; to watched the rebirth of America; America as described in its great constitution, America that has crossed a huge barrier, America that gives an equal chance to everyone who was born under its flag, regardless of his name or ethnic background, or creed.

 

 

 

Last night and at that defining moment in history, when the major networks announced the election of a half black African American as president of this great country, tears ran from my wife’s eyes as well as mine. True tears of happiness that was shared by most of the people present. I felt pride in the country that I have chosen to live in. I felt hope for the future of my children and grand children. As a naturalized citizen, I held my head high as all the friends who were around.

 

 

 

Happy rebirth day America and congratulations on a great choice of a leader who will, by God’s will, lead our country out of all the problems inherited. It will not be an easy ride. However, we will be on the right track toward prosperity and peace. Our country will regain the respect and the leadership that it once had.

 

 

 

Last night I witnessed and experienced Democracy as it should be.
