Huge fire destroys 8 bazaars in Aswan
Firefighters have controlled a huge fire in Aswan, after it destroyed 8 shops and bazaars.

The fire, which broke out in the early hours of Friday, ripped through the old tourist market on Saad Zaghloul Street.
Six fire trucks put out the fire, with the help of local residents, in 3 hours.
Ezzat Abdel Meguid, director of the Department of Civil Protection in Aswan, said fire trucks managed to put out the fire before it reached nearby state facilities and residential neighbourhoods.
A short circuit in one of the shops is believed to have caused the fire, with then spread to other shops, destroying most of the goods inside, Abdel Meguid said.
An incident claim has been filed and prosecutors notified.
Initial reports estimated losses at around LE1 million.
