The International Quranic Center Condemns Charlie Hebdo Terrorist Attack
This statement is not just a condemnation of horrifying Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack in Paris, which is a repeat of previous attacks and surely is not the last one. This statement is a confirmation of the International Quranic Center’s message: terrorism cannot be combated with guns and violence only, regardless whether it is in the Middle East or the West. Religious reform must also be incorporated to show the poor and marginalized Muslims in the Middle East the true peaceful nature of Islam.
Such religious reform has been our goal and life work without any help from the West. Because of our work, we were persecuted in the Middle East. The biggest obstacles we face is not just the autocratic regimes of the region, but the Saudi regional and international influence, even though Wahhabism – Official Sect of the Kingdom- is the official sponsor of Muslims’s terrorism.
We are facing terrorism with our bare pens and ideas, and we are achieving great successes considering our limited capabilities. We call on all who is interested in defeating terrorism to cooperate with us to amplify our impact, save thousands of lives and Billions of Dollars.
If we continue to face terrorism with guns only, radicalism will continue to flourish and we will continue writing useless condemnation statements
