Reminder— Syrian Refugees in Lebanon: Impact and Recommendations, Tomorrow, June 25, 9:00 a.m.

Dear Colleague,

The ongoing conflict in Syria has had a predictably negative impact on neighboring Lebanon, where thousands of Syrians have been forced to flee their homes and take refuge. This spillover effect not only changes the dynamics of Lebanon’s social, economic, and political situation, but also holds wider implications for the region.
Lebanese Minister of Social Affairs Wael Abou Faour, UNHCR’s Ninette Kelley and Panos Moumtzis, and Kamel Mohanna of the Lebanese and Arab NGOs Network will discuss these implications. Paul Salem will moderate from Beirut and Katherine Wilkens will moderate in Washington, DC.

The discussion will be linked via videoconference to audiences in Washington, DC, and Brussels.
