Dr. Maksoud has established an LLC in Egypt (DAEM Corporation) which is an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Center (IESC) to foster innovation and start-up companies in Egypt. He owns a building in 10 Ramadan city

Dr. Maksoud would like to present to Egyptians abroad to encourage them to invest in Egypt to put Egypt among the advanced countries. He has some feasibility studies ready to be implemented in Egypt. His idea is to form Venture Capital Group (VCG) and a Holding company to invest in these great ideas and innovations.

I am Dr. Yaser Abdallah Abdel-Maksoud, a neurosurgeon and neuroscientist who has been in the USA for over 13 years. I have worked here at US hospitals as a member of a surgical team and as a researcher. I have established two for-profit corporations and one non-profit here in the USA:

1) Nerve Access, Inc. (www.nerveaccess.com): drug-development company that has been developing an Alzheimer's therapeutic. We have made a great progress over the last few years, received a federal grant, and are close to clinical trials. As a matter of fact, Nerve Access and myself have been invited to meet senior officials from the US Ministry of Health to discuss drug development in regenerative medicine. The meeting takes place in Washington DC on November 1st, 2012 (the invitation letter is attached);
2) Broad Enterprises, Inc. (www.broadenterprises.com - DBA: Surgical Partners): a) provides medical and surgical services to medical facilities; b) in the process of establishing intravenous solutions manufacturing facilities in the Middle East and Developing Countries. The company is currently making good profit;
3) Your Biology, NFP (www.neuralrepairinstitute.org - DBA: Neural Repair Institute - NRI): non-profit that has been raising awareness about the CNS regenerative medicine. NRI is a member of national and international organization like Society for Neuroscience (www.sfn.org). NRI has received endorsement from Senator Richard Durbin (attached).

In addition, I have recently established an LLC in Egypt (DAEM Corporation) which is an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Center (IESC) to foster innovations and start-up companies in Egypt. IESC's work will enable us to pick up the best ideas and projects to invest in so we can have the next Samsung or Hyundai sometime in the near future Insha'a Allah in Egypt. IESC is housed at a building that I own in Alasher Min Ramdan. We must decongest Greater Cairo and solve its crises, that is why I insisted that the first location be outside Greater Cairo.
There are great ideas and feasibility studies ready to be implemented in Egypt if we have enough fund. To build on all of that, I see, as an Egyptian living abroad, that we have to form a group of investors (Venture Capital Group - VCG) to invest in these great ideas and innovations. The VCG concept is new to the Egyptian Market, and therefore we may have to establish a Holding Company instead that invests in and establishes new companies. In that regard, we will focus on: a) Egyptians abroad; b) innovations and projects that have great potential and solve significant problems in Egypt.

I would like to discuss more details and give a PowerPoint Presentation and share some of the ideas and projects with you.
