Insulting Jonah

Question: … Dear Sir, … Does the Lord God insult Jonah in the Quranic story about him? What do you think? Any ideas? … Thank you …    

Answer:

 Yes; this is when Jonah left his ministry/mission and his people out of fear and despair; yet, the Lord God has accepted his repentance and saved him from the whale that swallowed him after he was thrown from the ship. This is what we infer from the contexts of 37:139-148 and 21:87-88, as no sympathy with him is expressed when he left his mission and fled his homeland. Muhammad has been advised to adhere to patience and not to commit the error done by Jonah as per the context of 68:48-50. Besides, as per 6:86, we infer that the Lord God has forgiven Jonah as He accepts sincere repentance; of course, prophets/messengers of God are not infallible people, and we should draw lessons from the Quranic stories about them.

Yawning, Again!

Question: … Dear Sir, … I yawned inside a mosque during a Friday sermon and the imam looked at me angrily and said that Satan and devils make human beings yawn; the congregation sniggered and looked at me derisively! I was mortified! I'm never convinced that yawning has anything to do with the Devil; yawning is never sinful; it's a natural sign of drowsiness and fatigue, right? What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

 You are absolutely right; yawning and other bodily actions (sneezing, urinating, defecating, vomiting, farting, etc.) are natural, and no human beings can refrain from them; of course, yawning has nothing to do with Satan; even some animals yawn; all Sunnite sheikhs/imams yawn; they blindly repeat in their boring sermons what is written in the centuries-old Sunnite books of traditions/lies and myths/hadiths. Do not heed any Sunnite notions and please stop attending sermons of polytheism in the harmful mosques of the Muhammadans.

Not A True Proverb

Question: … Dear Sir, … Does this proverb agree with the Quran or not: (Beware of evil that may come from one whom you helped)? What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

 Of course not; this proverb is illogical; all persons choose their pattern/set of good or bad values; the people you help might be (un)grateful, (un)thankful, indifferent, or oblivious; such choice of (mis)deeds and misconduct or good conduct is based on freedom of human beings within their test in life. This test ends in their death; one should repent sincerely and make amends before one's death; may the Lord God accept our repentance with His mercy. The Lord God says the following in the Quran: "Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves: do not despair of God's mercy, for God forgives all sins. He is indeed the Forgiver, the Clement." (39:53).

The Night of Decree in Ramadan

Question: … Dear Sir, … The Quran does not directly specify in which Ramadan day the Night of Decree occurs annually; I mean the Night of Decree when the Quran descended (i.e., was revealed) to Muhammad; I guess it is the very first night in Ramadan based on linking these two verses together: "We sent it down on the Night of Decree." (97:1) & "We have revealed it on a Blessed Night..." (44:3). What do you think? … Thank you …    

Answer:

 You are in the wrong; in fact, you are imitating unawares the silly Sunnite assumption that the Night of Decree falls in any of the last ten days of Ramadan. The Lord God chooses not to tell us in the Quran about the exact time of the Night of Decree which occurs annually every Ramadan; thus, please stop surmising about anything linked to the metaphysical realm of the unknown/invisible; the specific time of the Night of Decree every Ramadan is not mentioned in the Holy Quran. Credit Cards, Again!

 Using credit/debit cards is OK and it is not a form of usury because of lack of compound interest rates and because what you do is based on mutual consent as the case in all trade deals and financial agreements. Great Numerical Features in the Quranic Text

Question: … Dear Sir, … I've noticed the following numerical miraculous features in the Quranic Chapters 23 and 26; the word (Allah) is mentioned 2699 times in the entire Quranic text; if one would count 2699 verses starting from the verse 1:1, one will reach 23:26 which is repeated in 23:39. Besides, the number 2699 is linked to the verse 26:99. By the way, the word (Allah) is repeated 13 times in both the Quranic Chapters 23 and 26; when we add the numbers of verses containing the word (Allah) in both the Quranic Chapters 23 and 26, we see that the number is 2574; i.e., the result of multiplying 26 X 99! Besides, the word (Allah) is mentioned 114 times between the Quranic Chapters 23 and 26, and 114 is the number of the entire Quranic Chapters, as you know   … Thank you …

Dogs Are Never Impure

Question: … Dear Sir, … My daughter lives in my house and she owns a dog as her pet; the sheikh/imam in the nearby mosque asserted to me that dogs are impure creatures and they make my house impure! Am I not to pray inside my house because of this?! Is this true or not?! … Thank you …      

Answer:

  Dogs (any all other creatures) are never impure; the Sunnites assume that as if the hadiths invented by Abou Hurayrah (whose name literally means [in Arabic] 'the father of a kitten'!) were part of Islam; one of his hadiths is about preferring cats to dogs and urging people to hate dogs as 'impure' creatures. When we have refuted such lies of the inveterate liar Abou Hurayrah, a deified person by most Sunnites, many Wahabi Sunnite clergymen/sheikhs issued fatwas to urge terrorists to murder our person.

Taxes and Islam

Answer:

  Yes, of course. This Quran-based country is based on absolute religious freedom, justice, and direct democracy; its legislative authority has the right to issue laws which never contradict the Quran; the Quranic verses containing legislations are not so many (in fact, less than two hundred verses, including repeated legislations); this means there is a large margin to issue laws to the benefit of citizens; we have proven this in many of our previous writings. Of course, taxes are beneficial to the citizens; the Quran-based country can also collect Zakat money and supervise distributing them among the needy and the poor.

Obeying the Messenger

I'm not convinced by your view that the term (Messenger) here refers to the Quran and not to Muhammad; this view implies a redundancy or a useless repetition in the two commands (obey God) and (obey the Messenger) in the verse 4:59 ............ … Thank you …

The Lord God's Holy Name: Al-Aziz

 The context of each Quranic verse containing the term (Al-Aziz) adds to the shades of its meaning; this is a very lengthy topic that entails a lengthy article; we beseech the Lord God to allow us to have enough time and strength to write an article about the term (Al-Aziz) and how it is mentioned in the Quranic verses. The Muhammadans' Myths within YouTube Videos

Question: …  Dear Sir, …  In order to have a good laugh, sometimes I watch YouTube videos of Sunnite, Shiite, and Sufi imams; their laughter-inducing myths are a source of entertainment to me; yet, should I avoid watching these videos or not?! Am I violating this verse: "When you encounter those who gossip about Our Verses, turn away from them, until they engage in another topic. But should Satan make you forget, do not sit after the recollection with the unjust people." (6:68)? What do you think? …  Thank you …        

Answer:

 You must avoid watching these videos which undermine and cast doubt on the Quran; it is very wrong of you to find their myths amusing or highly entertaining as their myths contradict and mock the Quran. All true monotheists are commanded in the Quran to avoid listening to such nonsense, falsehoods, and lies pertaining to disbelief/polytheism. You can listen/watch or read such myths ONLY in case that you are a Quranist researcher aiming to refute their myths and to prove in your writings that these myths of the Sunnite, Shiite, and Sufi Muhammadans contradict the Quran; in that case, your endeavors will be rewarded by the Lord God as you engage into peaceful, intellectual jihad for the sake of Islam, aiming to support the Lord God and His Religion and to introduce reform among the Muhammadans.

Obsession with Purification

Question: … Dear Sir,  … My poor state of health forces me to urinate while sitting on the toilet; I sometimes forget to clean my penis with water; even if there is a piece of cloth or some water to do so, my penis sometimes emits few drops of urine in my underwear minutes after leaving the bathroom; this made me bathe many times on a daily basis and change my underwear many times as I feel 'polluted' and cannot pray! What about the times when, after I prayed, I discovered that my underwear is polluted with drops of urine?! ........ I sometimes weep and cry alone as I feel exhausted by having to repeat prayers, bathing, and changing my clothes several times a day within my poor state of health...... Any advice?! … Thank you …

Answer:

  Please get rid of such devilish obsession with purification which ruins one's life and peace of mind; you have to bear in mind that the Lord God does not burden a soul beyond its capacity; you have done your best; ease/facilitation is among the main higher purposes of Quranic sharia laws (see the only two verses about purification: 4:43 & 5:6). Since you are ill, a drop of urine in your underwear will not spoil your ablution and prayers since the Lord God will not judge you for things you cannot control; what you can control is to keep your concentration and sense of reverence and piety during prayers and all day long. Self-Defense Fighting and Quranic Terminology

Question: … Dear Sir, … I understand that it is an essential part of your Quranism that a Quranist Muslim's stance must be against the Arab conquests; yet, what about this Quranic verse concerning (supposedly?) the conquests of the Yathreb city-state led by Muhammad: "O you who believe! Do not be like those who disbelieved, and said of their brethren who marched in the land, or went on the offensive, "Had they stayed with us, they would not have died or been killed." So that God may make it a cause of regret in their hearts. God gives life and causes death. God is Seeing of what you do." (3:156)? …  Thank you …

Answer:

 You clearly misunderstood 3:156 and the rest of the Quranic verses which mention self-defense fighting of the Yathreb city-state; Muhammad and the early believers with him never conquered any location at all; all their battles were legitimate self-defense against different military aggressors of Qorayish and the some of the People of the Book who lived near Yathreb. As per our previous writings, which we advise you to read carefully, all Quranic terminology of such verses about fighting is about self-defense and never about conquests; this is proved within the following Quranic context about the legislative purpose of self-defense fighting; i.e., to deter and stop aggressors, and how this self-defense fighting must stop once the aggression stops: "And fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not commit aggression; God does not love the aggressors. And kill them wherever you overtake them, and expel them from where they had expelled you. Persecution is more serious than murder. But do not fight them at the Sacred Mosque, unless they fight you there. If they fight you, then kill them. Such is the retribution of the disbelievers. But if they cease, then God is Forgiving and Merciful. And fight them until there is no persecution, and religion becomes devoted to God alone. But if they cease, then let there be no fighting except against the unjust ones...Whoever commits aggression against you, retaliate against him in the same measure as he has committed against you. And be conscious of God within piety, and know that God is with the righteous ones." (2:190-194).

About the Quranic Verse 2:187

Question: … Dear Sir,  … I wonder why conjugal sex is not mention in this Quranic phrase despite the fact that this marital sex must be avoided during fasting in Ramadan: "...and eat and drink until the white streak of dawn can be distinguished from the black streak..." (2:187). Any ideas? … Thank you …     

Answer:

 You forgot that the same verse shows clearly that during all nights of Ramadan (i.e., from sunset to dawn), conjugal sex between a husband and his wife/wives is allowed: "Permitted for you is intercourse with your wives on the night of the fast. They are a garment for you, and you are a garment for them. God knows that you used to betray yourselves, but He turned to you and pardoned you. So approach them now, and seek what God has ordained for you..." (2:187).

The Night of Decree in Ramadan, Again!

Question: … Dear Sir,  … Is it true or not that good deeds performed during the (unknown) Night of Decree in Ramadan are rewarded in a double manner by the Lord God? What are the supplications that should be pronounced on that Night? Any ideas?  … Thank you … 

Answer:

 Your questions will receive no answers from our person except for the following. You should not pay any attention to Sunnite hadiths/myths, especially the ones about the metaphysical aspect of the unknown/invisible. One can supplicate to the Lord God anytime with any words, preferably using Quranic phrases, using a low voice within piety, humbleness, and reverence: "And when My servants ask you about Me, I Am near; I answer the call of the caller when he calls on Me. So let them answer Me, and have faith in Me, that they may be rightly guided." (2:186); "Your Lord has said, "Pray to Me, and I will respond to you. But those who are too proud to worship Me will enter Hell forcibly."" (40:60). One must perform good deeds and acts of worship as much as one can all year long during one's lifetime; there are special times in the year for increasing these deeds and acts; e.g., during Ramadan and when one performs pilgrimage in Mecca. We, Quranists, never believe in Sunnite hadiths/lies or Sunnite fiqh mythology. As for the Night of Decree, its exact time during Ramadan is unknown to any mortals; the Quran tells us only that it is repeated every Ramadan and that the archangel Gabriel (or the Holy Spirit) descends during that Night along with angels while carrying fates imposed inevitably by the Lord God on human beings: births, deaths, earnings/provisions, and catastrophes/calamities. This means that the Lord God will not judge you about things occurring to you as per such fates since you did not choose them. Of course, you – and all human beings – will be judged on the Last Day as per faith and deeds chosen willingly, and this means that when you perform good deeds and acts of worship within piety and monotheism, you choose to be guided, whereas others who disbelieve in the Quran and in the Hereafter choose misguidance and never think of death and the Day of Judgment.

Prohibition of Drugs by Law

Question: … Dear Sir, … The Quran does not mention drugs (i.e., weed, hash, marijuana, heroin,...etc.) at all; is it possible that a Quran-based, Islamic country would issue a law to prohibit illegal drugs? Any ideas?  …  Thank you …    

Answer:

 Yes; any Quran-based country can issue laws which would not violate the Quranic legislations of Islam and would match the higher purposes of Quranic sharia. Thus, it is OK if a law is issued to ban using, owning, and trading with illegal drugs. Yet, you must not use the word (prohibit) because prohibition in Islam is the exclusive right of the Only Legislator in Islam: the Lord God Himself.

To Sleep Away all the Hours of Fasting!

Question: … Dear Sir,  …  Is it OK to sleep most of the Ramadan days (i.e., from dawn to sunset) to avoid fatigue during fasting in such a hot weather in my country? What do you think? … Thank you …    

Answer:

 To sleep away all the hours of fasting will not spoil the fasting but what about prayers you will miss?! What about missing the attainment of piety?! Are you going to stop reading the Quran during Ramadan's fasting hours?! Many Muhammadans fast as a social habit only (within the paraphernalia of 'celebrating' Ramadan as if it were a month-old festival) and never pray in Ramadan or all year long! Would the Lord God accept the fasting of those who sleep away all the hours of fasting? We do not think so! Are you going to adhere to piety during your sleep, for instance?! Of course not! Fasting is accepted by the Lord God only in case it is done within piety and reverence while seeking to gratify the Lord God.

Palestinian Citizens

Question: … Dear Sir, … You seem to me a pro-Israel thinker who is against Palestinians! Do the Arabs have the right to restore Palestine to themselves or not?! If the Jewish people have the 'right' to remain in Palestine, would Arabs leave Egypt occupied by them in the 7^th century A.D.?! .......... What is your concept of (Palestinian citizens) and how their lives should look like in Palestinian State if it would come into being one day?! … Thank you …  

Answer:

 We do not care about what you say; our focus is only about the right of Palestinian citizens to enjoy fully all human rights and citizenship rights, regardless of the fact that they live in Israel or in an independent Palestinian State. Most Arab citizens, from the Persian Gulf to the Atlantic ocean, have little or no human rights at all. We do not want this to happen to the Palestinian citizens.

A Question of Inheritance (1)

Question: … Dear Sir, … A childless, wifeless man died and he is survived by his 4 sisters, 2 brothers, and his mother and father; how his money should be distributed among them?  … Thank you …  

Answer:

 The deceased person's father should receive 1/6 of the money and the same applies also to the mother of the deceased person; the rest of the money should be distributed among the sisters and the brothers as per this Quranic rule: "...the male receives the equivalent of the share of two females..." (4:11).

A Question of Inheritance (2)

Question: … Dear Sir, … I am a widow and I have two daughters; when my husband died, I was pregnant; yet, my male baby died 4 days after his birth. The parents of my late husband are still alive ... Does my dead male baby have a share of the inheritance money or not? How the inheritance money should be distributed? … Thank you …        

Answer:

 The dead baby is not an inheritor; inheritors are only living people. You, as a widow, should receive 1/8 of the money. Your husband's father should receive 1/6 of the money and the same applies also to the mother of your late husband. The two daughters should divide equally the 2/3 of the money. Hence, if we divide the money into 27 equal shares, the mother should receive 4 shares; the father 4 shares; the widow 3 shares; and the two daughters 16 shares (i.e., each of the two daughters should receive 8 shares).
