 The Boredom of Repeated Question

Published in May 30, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … I do believe that you should tackle the topic of how to perform prayers exactly … You do not you make a video of yourself while performing prayers? … Thank you …

Answer:

We are bored and sick to death because of repeated questions; before posing FAQs, why do not novices search for answers within our online archive of fatwas, books, and articles?! Answering repeated questions wastes our time and saps our energy and limited effort; at the age of 69, we have no time to send links to anyone who is too lazy to look for answers within our archive or too reluctant to read our writings. We urge all people not to waste our time and to bear in mind our physical feebleness. Novices can download our book about prayers and all other books (in Arabic) via this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/AhmedSubhyMansourBooks

Tests of Life, Again!

Published in May 30, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Ordeals and hardships in this life are tests by Fate, right? What about other types of tests of adversity and prosperity? … Thank you …

Answer:

Instead of posing repeated question, you should look for answers within our books, articles, and fatwas. You can download our books, especially the one about tests of life, (in Arabic) via this link:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/AhmedSubhyMansourBooks

We also refer you to our subtitled-into-English episodes (from No. 234 to No. 243) of the YouTube show titled "Quranic Moments" about Fate and tests of life. We need every moment of our lifetime to continue writing our daily article and complete our unfinished books. We do not like those who waste our time by posing repeated questions.

Differentiation and Distinctions among Prophets/Messengers

Published in May 30, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, …  I've just finished reading your great book titled "The Quran: Sufficient as a Source of Islamic Legislation" (found in English on this link: http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=92), but I do not understand how people differentiate among God's messengers and prophets? Why are you considering those who put the name of Muhammad in the testimony of Islam as polytheists? Why are we to consider all God's messengers and prophets as equal to one another within our mind while God puts some of them above the others as per many Quranic verses? … Thank you …

Answer:

You should bear in mind that the terms (messenger) and (prophet) are synonymous; all prophets are messengers and the opposite is true as well; the only difference is that the term (messenger) is about the person when he uttered/conveyed the Divine Message given to him; in contrast, the term (prophet) refers to this person as a mortal human being, about how he lived and interacted with those around him. Hence, Noah as a prophet was rebuked by God when he asked for God's pardon for his disbelieving son. Likewise, Muhammad was rebuked by God when he prohibited a permissible item to please his wives. Yet, both Noah and Muhammad were also messengers who conveyed Scripture/Book of the Lord God; i.e., the Message revealed to them by God Himself; they could never make mistakes in this respect; each conveyed the Message in full; this applies to all messengers, of course. The Lord God preserves to Himself the right to prefer some prophets/messengers to some others; this pertains ONLY to God; i.e., human beings are not to do the same and prefer some of them above the others; God in the Quran commands us about never to differentiate or make distinctions among His messengers/prophets. All of them must be the same to real, monotheistic believers who adhere to the Quran. Hence, those who place Jesus or Muhammad above the rest of His messengers/prophets are deifying Jesus/Muhammad and they are thus polytheists who will be among the Hell-dwellers for eternity if they die without repentance. This applies to those who add the name of Muhammad to the monotheistic testimony of Islam: (There is no God but Allah). For more details about this topic, we refer you to our article, in English, titled "The Testimony of Islam Is (There Is No God But Allah) ONLY!" (found on this link: http://www.ahl-alquran.com/English/show_article.php?main_id=14273).

You Are Welcome to Join our Website

Published in May 31, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … I've come across your great website weeks ago …  I've read tens of Sunnite books of Sunna hadiths and I felt astonished by their laughter-inducing myths and silly falsehoods; I agree with you that hadiths are never part of Islam … I have a question: was the Tree of Knowledge whose forbidden fruit was consumed by Adam and Eve made them know about sex or coitus? Was it the tree of marriage/sexual knowledge? I see that this might be true since both were destined to descend on earth and breed children, anyway; besides, how come Satan would be able to enter into Paradise to tempt Adam and Eve? … What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

You are welcome to join our website; as the case with all newcomers, we advise you first of all to read our entire archive of writings and to watch all our YouTube videos to get to know more about Quranism and to find answers to most (if not all) the queries that may pop into your head. You are in the wrong by saying that Adam and his wife ate from the tree of marriage/sexual knowledge; please do not use or depend on biblical terms and myths; besides, one must never add details to the metaphysical realm of the past mentioned by Quranic stories. God says in the Quran that it was only the Forbidden Tree, without specifying its fruits or type. What we infer from the Quran that in this Barsakh Paradise, the bodies of Adam and his wife were covered by garments of Barsakh lights; once they disobeyed the command of the Lord God, such garments of lights were gone/torn and they saw each other stark naked for the first time; their physical bodies differed from the ethereal realm of the Barsakh Paradise; the human physical bodies belong to the earthly realm of existence. Hence, Satan managed to deceive Adam and his wife to make them get expelled from this Barsakh Paradise and descend to earth; this is not the Eternal Paradise of the Last Day which is yet to be created (along with the Everlasting Hell) after the destruction of the universe when the Hour takes place. Within this Barsakh-level Paradise, they both could see Satan and other ethereal beings; e.g., angels, and this ability is lost by them and by their progeny on earth; no one can see angels, devils, and jinn. Please read our articles which cover this topic in detail.

Forums of Debates

Published in May 31, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Why do you insist on refusing to attend forums of debates with Salafist clergymen; you attack their Sunnite Wahabi religion online but you do not like to face them now, right?! … Why is that?! … Thank you …

Answer:

Within the 1980s in Cairo, Egypt, when we were a 'moderate' Sunnite person who rejected most hadiths, and not all of them, we sought at first to 'correct', 'select', and 'verify' hadiths using the Quran as the only criterion; we entered into many public debates and forums with Sunnite/Wahabi extremists inside many mosques. On several occasions, we have declared that Al-Bokhary was an infidel and a disbeliever who insults God and Muhammad in the hadiths he wrote/authored, and we quoted his narratives to prove our stance; no one among the attendees and the sheikhs dared to refute us. There were many attempts to physically attack and to assassinate our person at the gates of many mosques because of this; many Cairene newspapers wrote and published about such attempts as the mob, incited by terrorist Wahabis, attacked us several times. This occurred before our being incarcerated in Nov. 1987. When God has guided us to Quranism as the Only True Islam, we know now that the Quran is the Only Discourse in Islam; we reject and disbelieve in all hadiths of any type. When we have pondered the Quranic text within this new perspective, many unspoken-of Quranic facts have emerged to our mind; they include the fact that debating with others concerning God's Quranic verses is prohibited by God; we infer this from certain verses in the Quranic Chapters 6, 40, and 42. We have tackled this topic in previous articles of ours. Hence, within our website, we declare and proclaim the Quranic Truth and then move away and distance ourselves from the ignoramuses who reject the Quranic Truth, a per the divine command in the Quran: "Be tolerant...and avoid the ignorant." (7:199). We wait for God's Judgment on the Last Day to settle the religious disputes between Quranists and their foes/detractors.

Ejaculation Spoils Fasting

Published in June 1, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … I'm still a single man … Without touching my penis, I ejaculated by rubbing it against my bed sheets during the daylight in Ramadan! I was overwhelmed with sexual drive! Does this spoil my fasting?! What am I to do to atone for this sin!  … Thank you …

Answer:

Masturbation, done in any way, is prohibited in Islam because it is a form of transgression of God's Quranic laws; pious ones must preserve their chastity: "Those who safeguard their chastity. Except from their spouses, or their slaves to whom they are married - for then they are free from blame. But whoever seeks anything beyond that - these are the transgressors." (23:5-7 + 70:29-31). Ejaculation spoils fasting and you have to fast for another day after Ramadan instead of the day spoiled/missed by your sin. You should remember that Ramadan is about fasting to attain piety and to control one's carnal lusts and appetites (i.e., eating and marital sex); let alone committing sins like masturbation because you could not control yourself while fasting! You should not commit sins during days and nights Ramadan if you desire to obtain and observe piety. Ramadan should be a training period of self-control that will make you abstain from masturbation and other sins (as much as you can) for the rest of your life.

Types of Losers On the Last Day

Published in June 1, 2018

Question:  … Dear Sir, … I cannot understand the difference between losers in the verses 18:103 and 11:22. Could you please explain this topic to me? Are there types/degrees of biggest and 'smallest' losers? Is 11:22 about clergymen who are losers because of misguidance? Is 18:103 about losers because of their polytheism as they worship mortals as deities? What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

God says in the Quran: "Who does graver injustice than he who fabricates lies about God? These will be presented before their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are they who lied about their Lord." Indeed, the curse of God is upon the unjust ones. Those who hinder others from the Path of God, and seek to make it crooked; and regarding the Hereafter, they are in denial. These will not escape on earth, and they have no allies besides God. The torment will be doubled for them. They have failed to hear, and they have failed to see. Those are the ones who lost their souls, and what they had invented has strayed away from them. Without a doubt, in the Hereafter, they will be the biggest losers." (11:18-22); this is about those who are the most unjust ones because they have ascribed lies to God and to His Religion, and thus, they deny and disbelieve in the Quranic verses and they misguide and mislead others. This differs from this Quranic context: "Do those who disbelieve think that they can take My servants for masters instead of Me? We have prepared Hell for the hospitality of the faithless. Say, "Shall We inform you of the greatest losers in their works?" "Those whose efforts in this world are misguided, while they assume that they are doing well." It is they who rejected the Verses of their Lord, and the encounter with Him. So their works are in vain. And on the Day of Resurrection, We will consider them of no weight. That is their requital - Hell - on account of their disbelief, and their taking My Verses and My messengers in mockery." (18:102-106); here, we read about those who performed many good deeds but God will nullify such deeds because of their polytheism; they are losers in the Hereafter because of this. This is not about degrees or levels in Hell; this is about enumerating the types of losers: those who misguided themselves while assuming to be good people with good deeds (i.e., in 18:102-106) and those who misguided themselves and others (i.e., in 11:18-22).

Tables for Feeding the Poor during Ramadan

Published in June 2, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Some Sunnite/Wahabi extremists in Egypt have issued fatwas to prohibit the poor from eating at charity tables in the streets during Ramadan when the providers of such tables are Copts, corrupt businessmen and tycoons, and belly-dancers… What do you think?  … Thank you …

Answer:

Making charity food tables in Ramadan and in other months is a very good deed. It is not prohibited to eat such food at such charity tables, regardless of those who finance it; those poor/needy ones who receive charity are not responsible for the (legal or illegal) source of the money/food they receive. God will accept charity only in case the charitable persons are pious and seek to please Him and seeking His forgiveness and reward using legal money and NOT ill-gotten money. Yet, the poor/needy should avoid prohibited food items; i.e., the ones offered as oblations at mausoleums and in honor of the so-called saints within Sufi/Sunnite/Shiite festivals, as such mausoleums, feasts, and saints are abominations. The Quran prohibits the consumption of food items offered to other than the Lord God.

About The Verse 3:7

Published in June 3, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Would please explain to me the phrase (those firmly rooted in knowledge) in this verse: "It is He who revealed to you the Book. Some of its verses are definitive; they are the foundation of the Book, and others are similar. As for those in whose hearts is deviation, they follow the similar part, seeking dissent, and seeking to derive an interpretation. But none knows its interpretation except God and those firmly rooted in knowledge say, "We believe in it; all is from our Lord." But none recollects except those with understanding." (3:7)? … Thank you …

Answer:

We have mentioned in previous books and writings that the term "interpretation" in the verse 3:7 means realization and fulfillment; those who are firmly rooted in knowledge follow the only Quranic/Quranist way of understanding and pondering the Quran, indicated in the Quran itself in 3:7 by studying all verses that contain the same topic/term and to determine how the definitive verses are explained and detailed in similar ones. For more details about this methodology and how it is applied; see our two articles in English: (http://www.ahl-alquran.com/English/show_article.php?main_id=16993   /   http://www.ahl-alquran.com/English/show_article.php?main_id=16303), and we refer you to our book in English titled "How to Understand the Holy Quran" (http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=121).

Fake Biographies of Muhammad

Published in June 3, 2018

Question: …  Dear Sir, … Is it true that there is a battle named as........fought by Prophet Muhammad? … Did the early believers commit such atrocities indeed?! Or is this narrative a fake one? … Thank you …

Answer:

The narrative you refer to is among many falsehoods and lies within the fake biographies of Muhammad; the first one of such fake biographies was authored by Ibn Ishaq during the First Abbasid Era and others imitated him and added narratives of their own to distort the image of Muhammad and Islam to serve despots and tyrants of the caliphate. The only true account of Muhammad's life is found only in the Quranic text.

Homosexuality Implied in The Verse 4:16

Published in June 3, 2018

Question: …  Dear Sir, … God says in the Quran: "If two men among you commit it, harm them both. But if they repent and reform, leave them alone. God is Redeemer, Full of Mercy." (4:16) … What is meant by "harm" here for homosexual men?! Is it stoning, shunning and ostracism, or something else?! … Does this verse refer to lesbians or not: "Those of your women who commit lewdness, you must have four witnesses against them, from among you. If they testify, confine them to the homes until death claims them, or God makes a way for them." (4:15)? … Thank you …

Answer:

As for the verse 4:15, it refers to women who run or work in houses of ill-repute (or brothels) as sex workers and there are no witnesses to prove it. These women are to remain in their houses, while never leaving their houses to hunt for customers and never allowing customers to enter into their house until such women repent before they die (i.e., natural death and not to be put to death). As for the verse 4:16, it shows that the penalty for practicing homosexual men is severe rebuke in public so that they repent and adhere to chastity; the severe rebuke is what is meant by the term ''harm''; once they repent, such public rebuke is stopped. In Islam, the Celestial Religion of the Lord God, there is no killing at all for homosexuals by stoning or by other means; such penalties are found only in man-made earthly/terrestrial religions such as the Old Testament and the Sunnite religion. We have repeated this answer in previous fatwas; please read our entire archive of writings/fatwas first before posing repeated questions.

To ''Harm'' God?

Published in June 5, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … In the verses 9:39 and 11:57, we see the verb (to harm); how come that someone might harm God?! Would you explain this to me?! … Thank you …

Answer:

The Quranic verses explain one another; the term (harm) used as a verb or a noun in all contexts to indicate insult; polytheists insult God with their words, blasphemous notions, and practices, but they cannot cause harm to the Lord God in the literal sense of the term. This is the figurative style in which human-related words are employed to indicate qualities/deeds of God or used within contexts of things that pertain to God; this figurative/metaphorical style is used to make the human mind, with its limited capacity, understand and grasp the meaning of some Quranic verses. This is exemplified by the term (harm) here: "If you turn away, I have conveyed to you what I was sent to you with; and my Lord will replace you with another people, and you will not cause Him any harm. My Lord is Guardian over all things." (11:57); "Unless you mobilize, He will punish you most painfully, and will replace you with another people, and you will not harm Him at all. God has power over all things." (9:39); "Those who harm/insult God and His Messenger, God has cursed them in this life and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a demeaning torment." (33:57); "...He who turns on his heels will not harm God in any way..." (3:144); "Those who exchange disbelief for faith will not harm God in the least. A painful torment awaits them." (3:177); "Those who disbelieve, and hinder from the Path of God, and oppose the Messenger after guidance has become clear to them - they will not hurt/harm God in the least, but He will nullify their deeds." (47:32).

About 42:23, Again!

Published in June 5, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … I'm convinced with your view that the verse 42:23 does NOT indicate Prophet Muhammad's kinsmen or family members, but what is meant by (affection) in the verse 42:23? … Thank you …

Answer:

God says in the Quran: "...Say, "I ask of you no wage for it, except affection among the near of kin."..." (42:23). The term affection here mean being charitable to one's relatives and parents (not just by money or gifts but also by good deeds showing true kindness and tender, loving care); this is part of good deeds leading to Paradise; God says the following in the Quran: "You will see the unjust terrified of what they have earned, and it will befall them. As for those who believe and do good deeds, they will be in the Meadows of the Gardens; they will have whatever they please in the presence of their Lord; that is the supreme blessing. That is the good news God gives to His servants who believe and do good deeds. Say, "I ask of you no wage for it, except affection among the near of kin." Whoever does a good deed, We will increase its goodness for him. God is Forgiving and Thankful." (42:22-23); "Worship God, and ascribe no partners to Him, and be good to the parents, and the relatives, and the orphans, and the poor, and the neighbor next door, and the distant neighbor, and the close associate, and the traveler, and your servants. God does not love the arrogant showoff." (4:36).

Who Is the Crazy Person indeed?!

Published in June 6, 2018

Question: … This website is filled with nothing but blasphemous lies and falsehoods written by crazy fools! … You are insulting the Lord God and hate the Quran! … All writers here follow their own whims and hate the Holy Prophet Muhammad! … You are not Quranists and you will never belong to the Quran! God's curse is upon you and all your followers! All of you will certainly rot in Hell forever! …

Answer:

Who is the crazy person indeed?! Of course, it is the unnamed sender of this message; we hope he/she will be treated from the mad-cow disease very soon; he/she must be hunted and taken care of in the madhouse or any other similar rehabilitation institution. Such insults and verbal abuse indicate the fact that Quranism is irrefutable the by misguided Muhammadans.

A Quranist Biography of Muhammad

Published in June 6, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Since all biographies of Muhammad written in the Abbasid Era are fake, why do not you, Dr. Mansour, write a Quranist biography of him within the chronological order of his lifetime events as per the Quran? … This will be a tremendous, daunting task, I know; yet, the coming generations will be thankful to you for it… Thank you …

Answer:

Of course, this is done in many scattered articles of ours in which we have traced certain events of Muhammad's lifetime; we have written a lot about how the fake biographies (of Ibn Ishaq and other authors) contradict the Quran. We are still discovering many important facts about Muhammad from our deep ponderings within the Quran; e.g., we refer you to one article in English to exemplify this: (http://www.ahl-alquran.com/English/show_article.php?main_id=17124). We urge all Quranists to follow our method and write more about Muhammad's true character and portrayal in the Quran.

The Word of Peace

Published in June 6, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … How come that when the angels gave peace to Abraham in 11:69, he replied to them using the word of peace?! Angels an bring peace to human beings by God's commands, but human beings cannot provide peace to angels, right? … What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

God says in the Quran: "Our messengers came to Abraham with good news. They said, "Peace." He said, "Peace." Soon after, he came with a roasted calf." (11:69); "Has the story of Abraham's honorable guests reached you? When they entered upon him, they said, "Peace." He said, "Peace, strangers."" (51:24-25). These angels took a human form to be seen by Abraham; he thought at first that they were really human beings staying as his guests; besides, one must respond to greetings uttered to one by others as per this verse: "When you are greeted with a greeting, respond with a better greeting, or return it. God keeps count of everything." (4:86).

Zakat within Revenues and Profits

Published in June 7, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … I've just finished reading your book about Zakat in Islam; yet, I have not found an answer to my question: would zakat be paid from the assets/funds/sums in my bank accounts or only from their profits which I receive on a monthly basis? … Thank you …

Answer:

We have mentioned in many previous fatwas that Zakat in your case are paid from (and as per) the profits or revenues in general, not from the assets of any kind.

The Meaning of Eternity Inside Hell

Published in February 8, 2009

Question: … Dear Sir, … I'm confused concerning this issue: will Hell be eternal like Paradise? The Quran indicates that Hell-dwellers will never get out of it and will remain there forever; yet, dos the underlined parts in these verses indicate that Hell is temporary?! Here are the verses I'm referring to: "On the Day when He gathers them all together: "O assembly of jinn, you have exploited multitudes of humans." Their adherents among the humankind will say, "Our Lord, we have profited from one another, but we have reached the term that you have assigned for us." He will say, "The Fire is your dwelling, wherein you will remain, except as God wills. Your Lord is Wise and Informed." (6:128); "As for those who are miserable, they will be in the Fire. They will have therein sighing and wailing. Remaining therein for as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord wills. Your Lord is Doer of whatever He wills. And as for those who are happy, they will be in Paradise, remaining therein for as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord wills - a reward without end." (11:106-108). What is the meaning of the exception indicated in the underlined parts? … Thank you …

Answer:

The underlined parts indicates God's Will; i.e., Paradise and Hell will be Eternal and so are dwellers of both; it is wrong to assume that Hell-torment will be temporary; Hell-dwellers will never get out of it; the Quranic verses explain one another; the exception indicating God's Will (i.e., the eternity of both Paradise-dwellers and Hell-dwellers) is explained further in these verses: "Those who reject Our Verses - We will scorch them in a Fire. Every time their skins are cooked, We will replace them with other skins, so they will experience the torment. God is Most Powerful, Most Wise.As for those who believe and do good deeds, We will admit them into Gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein forever. They will have purified spouses therein, and We will admit them into a shady shade." (4:56-57); "But as for those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will admit them into Gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will abide forever. The promise of God is true - and who is more Truthful in speech than God?" (4:122); "Those who disbelieve and transgress; God is not about to forgive them, nor will He guide them to any path. Except to the path of Hell, where they will dwell forever. And that is easy for God." (4:168-169); "" (33:64-65); "...He who disobeys God and His Messenger - for him is the Fire of Hell, in which they will dwell forever." (72:23). Hence, those who will enter into Hell will never die and will never get out of it; Hell has no end at all, and the same applies to Paradise, of course.

Mamelukes & Abbasids and their Hungry Subjects

Published in September 5, 2007

Question: … Dear Sir, … How did the Mamelukes and Abbasids maintained their regime for centuries by leaving the subjects living in abject poverty and hunger while the rulers and their cronies live in affluence? … Did hunger riots occur at the time? If not, why? … Thank you …

Answer:

Of course, corrupt ones among the ruling circles of the Middle-Ages caliphate eras monopolized power, authority and wealth; they had amassed billions of dinars and lived within highest levels of luxury; in contrast, scientists and scholars appointed and hired by the rulers had few dinars as measly stipends every month. The rest of the subjects lived within impecuniousness in several phases of drought, famine, and natural disasters. They complained verbally a lot but they were neglected; they were mistreated harshly only if they demonstrated within violent riots. Some con-artists committed acts of swindle to get some money of the affluent-class men by means of deceit by pretending to be alchemists who can turn ordinary metals into gold; this type of swindling is mentioned by Ibn Khaldoun. Others pretended they could predict the future using astrology. Other ordinary people lived off charity and some impecunious poets satirized the wealthy, stingy men and composed lines to praise poverty which was deemed as wholesome to their souls as it led them to work hard to be among the winners within the Hereafter.

Quran-Based Constitution in Egypt

Published in November 9, 2007

Question: … Dear Sir, … I'd like to make this suggestion to you; opposition figures in Egypt seek to draw a new draft of theConstitution; why do not you write a proposal for a Quran-based Constitution? I hate the draft offered by the terrorist MB group members who aim at establishing a horrid theocracy which will never be welcome by the Egyptians, of course. A Quran-based Constitution will be a secular one that stresses human rights and democracy, as per what I understand from your articles and books, right? … Thank you …

Answer:

Your suggestion is an excellent one; we have written lots of articles about political life, political reform, the Constitution, and laws in our beloved homeland Egypt. Of course,a Quran-based Constitution will emphasize human rights, secularism/laïcité, citizenship rights, equality, all freedoms and civil liberties, women's rights, direct democracy, etc. Yet, if we would write this Constitution, we need the help of a group of young lawyers (for at least 3 months) who will help with the phrasing of the articles of such Constitution while we provide Quranic verses to support each article. Such a project need to be financed by someone; we have no money at all at our VA-based IQC. We have modest means and bare hands; we have nothing but our brains and our pen; our foes among the Muhammadans have so many satellite channels, thousands of websites, authority, high connections, and billions of US$ to help them spread corruption and to propagate the notions of the Sunnite, Shiite, and Sufi religions of Satan which contradict the Quran. May God help the impecunious Quranists like our person.
