Now Accepting Applications for the 2010 Law and Leadership Program
June 7-25, 2010

 

KARAMAH is now accepting applications for our 2010 Law and Leadership Summer Program, to take place from June 7 to 25, 2010 in Washington , DC .

The three-week workshop brings together Muslim women from the U.S. and around the world to learn about Islamic law, U.S. Constitutional law, conflict resolution and leadership to help them become forces of positive change in their communities. The program features lectures by professors from Harvard Law School and Wharton.

KARAMAH Hosts Visit with Delegates from Indonesia

ARAMAH met with two delegates from Indonesia visiting the U.S. under the auspices of the U.S. Department of State’s Intern ational Visitor Leadership Program. The talk explored advocacy methods in the U.S. and Indonesia in support of Muslim women and programs to encourage women’s leadership, civic participation, economic independence and access to education, healthcare and social services.
