Dear ahmed,

I'm writing to tell you about our 2nd annual Leaders for Democracy awards reception, which will take place the evening of January 20th.  It should be a wonderful event, and I hope you can attend.

To get your ticket, click on this link.

POMED's annual awards reception is a special gathering that brings together POMED staff, friends, and supporters.  Each year, we honor individuals who exemplify the goals and principles that inspire our work, and we look ahead toward the year to come.
This year, we look forward to honoring eight individuals whose research, public service, and activism have inspired us:

Michael McFaul

Roxana Saberi

And the six elected representatives from our Emerging Leaders conferences in Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt:

Mohammad Azraq

David Linfield

Karim Bayoud

Cole Bockenfeld

Bassem Samir

Sarah Yerkes

This year's event will take place at 7 pm on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, the day that marks the one year anniversary of President Obama's inauguration.  It should be a great night to look back on the year that has passed and to look forward to all the things we can accomplish together in 2010.  Two of our dearest friends, Paige Alexander and Stephen Grand, will be hosting the event at their home, located at 3557 N. 36th St., Arlington, VA 22207.

You can get your ticket -- and support POMED's work in 2010 -- by following this link: Get tickets.  We will be providing drinks and a catered reception.

Students: $50
Supporters: $100
Core Contributors: $500
Co-hosts: $1000
