Finally…The release of Abdullateef Sa’eed
Ahl-Alquran Editor on November 26 2009
About pre-dawn of yesterday Nov. 25th, State Security agents at Shubral Kheima district, released Abdullateef Mohammad Ahmad Sa’eed from detention, after kidnapping him a week ago from Cairo International Airport, while on his way to attend a soccer match between Egypt and Algeria in Khartoum.
Mr. Abdullateef Sa’eed was subjected to interrogation…we don’t know yet if he was subjected to torture, considering that it is the same district that witnessed in 2007, the torture of Abdullateef and four of his fellow detainees(Ahmad Dehmesh, Amr Therwet, Abdul Hameed Mohammad Abdurrahman and his brother Ayman Mohammad Abdurrahman ).
It is well known that State Security agents prevented Abdullateef Sa’eed last April 2009, from attending a conference about peace and democracy in the United Stated. He filed a law suit against the State Security Department, claiming his constitutional and legal rights to travel abroad. After many court sessions, another case postponement took place this past Tuesday (Nov. 24th) till next month.(same cat and mouse tactic, revolving door policy, I will show your worth’s attitude). It is very obvious that they arrested him again because THEY think that he challenged them by filing the suit to start with, then once more by attempting to travel.
To those who are acquainted with Abdullateef Sa’eed, he is a peaceful, quiet and very patient person. He does not challenge anyone. He does not have the energy or resources to challenge a police state system addicted to injustice and torture, especially against the defenseless and the innocent. Abdullateef Sa’eed wants to escape with his life, after wasting two years of not finding work, moving from one residence to another, in permanent fear for his and his children’s lives. He does not challenge anyone, but forced to face, along with his immediate and extended families, a tyrannical, arrogant, stubborn system, that continues to oppress him and his family and prevents him from escaping with his life from this vast large prison called Mubarak regime.
Mubarak regime, in all its might, power and pride, does not challenge a mere defenseless, peaceful, quiet and patient individual, but rather challenges, with their oppression, injustice and arrogance, Almighty God Who prohibited INJUSTICE and warned all those who commit it with the severest of punishments.
We have nothing else left for us to do except to grab a firm hold on PATIENCE and PRAYERS, as in Chapter 2(Al-Baqara) verses 45 and 153
And to be steadfast in our belief that Almighty Allah is a POWERFUL AVENGER, and to the oppressors, He is in wait, and that Glory to Him, extends the reprieve but never forgets nor neglects, and whoever commits an evil deed, will be punished in this life before the Hereafter, and that He, Glory to Him, will give aid, support and triumph to the one who comply with His commandments.
These are not just mere Quranic assertions; it is also life experiences and historical lessons. What we witness around us, from our current history, from the end of Shah of Iran, to the end of Sadat and Saddam Hussein…even Sharon…and every Pharaoh and the followers of any Pharaoh who mangle and tear the flesh of honorable innocents and exploit their blood sweat and tears.
Wait (for Allah’s verdict)……We all are in wait.
