Description: Please join us for a video webchat featuring Ahmed Fathi and the Alliance of Egyptian Americans (AEA) to learn about what Arab-American civil society is doing to support change in the Middle East. Mr. Fathi will share from his experiences and talk about supporting the Arab Spring through organizing the Egyptian diaspora community, both in the U.S. and abroad.
Ahmed Fathi is active in Arab-American affairs and played a critical role in organizing Egyptian Americans in New York City through the AEA. The AEA held fund raisers, submitted petitions and lobbied lawmakers, held media interviews and more to support change in Egypt.
Format: This webchat will be in Arabic.
