As a Muslim Egyptian living in the United States‏

As a Muslim Egyptian living in the United States of America for many years, I believe Osama Bin Laden (OBL) - He did great harm to most of the Muslim people living here in the USA and by virtue of the denial among many of his followers it has further help to disenfranchise great Muslim all over the world especially after September 11, 2001 World Trade Center (WTC).

OBL – Created more hatred for the Islamic Society in general.

He changed the lives of many Muslims FOREVER, and made the Muslim Name a western ICON in secular churches, public schools and also US Universities. Many Americans have since converted from their religions to Islam. Do you know that here in New York City Christian Churches have opened their doors to allow Muslims to pray on Fridays? This is happening to this day. See how kind a society can have been?

Terror is not something the Holy Qur'an teaches us to do – I cannot believe some people in the Islamic Religion still believe OBL is a good man. I am sorry I don’t think so, to kill innocent people, even his own people Muslims just like you and I? We have families, our children, our entire lives often put at risk? For sure I can understand it can be difficult for some Muslim outside of the United States to believe how free it is for us to practice our religion here in the United States – but if I can I would tell every Muslim “Hatred or Death to American” is absolutely incorrect.

I am sure many Muslim American families can agree that there is peace and a sense of freedom without prejudice to all Muslims living in America and I am sure if my Muslim brothers and sisters were to visit us here in New York City they would instantly say the same thing.

Ps: remember we inherit our religion from our families from the day we were born. I am proud to be a Muslim. But that doesn’t mean I need to discriminate against other people or their religion.
