Introduction:

"I write my marriage story for you so that others might draw lessons from it. My first wife, the mother of my three children, was very nervous and got mad easily. She used to shout in anger for the slightest reason, and then grew calm, smile, forget the reason of her ire, apologize, and swear never to get into any tantrum of anger again. Her foul mouth and tantrums continued. Our three children used to live amidst her tantrums that caused cutting all relations with my relatives and neighbors due to her non-stop quarrels/reconciliation cycle with them. I wanted so much to divorce her, but my children remained an obstacle against that decision. Later on, I married a calm, pretty divorcée who was a colleague at work, after she had a nervous breakdown due to her divorce and her husband's forsaking her because she was barren. He threw her out of their house. Eventually, I lived with two wives in one house with my children. For economic reasons, I could not afford my second wife another separate house. My house turned into living hell on a daily basis. Tantrums and quarrels increased. My children loved and sympathized with my second wife and considered her to be their mother due to her kindness with them. She never responded to my first wife's tantrums except by crying in silence. My first wife grew more jealous until she fell seriously ill and eventually died. My new wife controlled our life now and we lived happily with her tender loving care. She became the pillar of our home. I used to thank the Almighty that my first wife died and that peace was restored in my life. I loved my new wife more and never interfered with her management of our home and her job, for she worked under my supervision. I never supervised her work truly; I was blinded by love. Then came the catastrophe; I was imprisoned for the crime of embezzlement of half a million LE. Documents of that crime had my signature on them. She tricked me and got the money behind my back. She divorced me while I was in jail. Later on, I was declared innocent via the help of witnesses from my workplace. Meanwhile, she got my house and driven my children out of it. I lived with my children in my parents' house. She never returned to my workplace; she returned to her first husband. I knew later on that she remained in contact with him behind my back. She used to grace his bed while she was my wife! Betrayal tasted bitter and painful inside me. She made her first husband divorce his new wife to get him back to herself! Months later, I heard she committed suicide in a brothel house by throwing herself from the balcony when the vice-squad forces stormed the place. I kept wondering how I got married to such a woman; how I was so deceived in her; how I was so gullible. I am now haunted by memories of my late first wife. I wish I could bear with her patiently and live the rest of life with her. I fear I caused her death with a broken heart in the prime of her youth. Let all readers draw useful lessons from my story…."
Secondly: Our reply:
Firstly: Your story is a realist every-day-life one!
1- Some people get angry easily despite their being kind-hearted; some others are patient and never got angry except on rare occasions when their ire grew so fierce.
2- This is shown by example of the sea and the shore: the shore grows hotter fast by the sunrays then grows fast cool by sunset. On the contrary, the sea waterabsorbs and loses heat slowly. But every now and then, the calm sea changes into a fearful storm!
Secondly: Your story is a realist and a historical one!
1- Your hypocrite wife reminds us of the so-called companions of Prophet Muhammad whom we find in the following verse: "Among the Desert-Arabs around you there are some hypocrites, and among the inhabitants of Medina too. They have become adamant in hypocrisy. You do not know them, but We know them. We will punish them twice; then they will be returned to a severe torment." (9:101). The verse before it talks about the good companions whose faith and good deeds are acceptable to God: "The Pioneers-The first of the Migrants and the Supporters, and those who followed them in righteousness. God is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will abide forever. That is the sublime triumph." (9:100). While in 9:102, the hypocrite had the chance to repent: "Othershave confessed their sins, having mixed good deeds with bad deeds. Perhaps God will redeem them. God is Forgiving and Merciful." (9:102). Those who did not repent from their lack of true faith and from their crimes went on in their crimes after the death of Prophet Muhammad.
2- Those hypocrites were the true enemies of Islam (the Quran), and they used to get nearer to Muhammad to try to deceive him. They never dropped a word to show their inner feelings that might be exposed in words or in action. Prophet Muhammad died while he never knew their hypocrisy in their hearts; they were the nearest companions to him. They were considered as the elite, while the pious ones remained away from the limelight because they never liked showing off, pretentions, and hypocrisy.
3- Those who were adamant in hypocrisy and never showed their true colors in the presence of Muhammad made use of the foolishness of hypocrites who exposed themselves so easily in their deeds, conspiracies, and words. The Quran exposed their conspiracies; they used to apologize and swear falsely in the name of God. Other adamant hypocrites nearer to Muhammad enjoyed a certain stature despite their lack of faith inside their hearts. Once Muhammad died, they were safe from the divine revelation that exposes hypocrites of every era. They showed their true nature. No one talked to us about hypocrites in the post-Muhammad times, although hypocrites never die out. Those hypocrites became the leaders of invasions and civil wars in Arabia. Those who had good faith remained away from such events because they never liked to show off their faith. History never mentioned those names of the faithful, except for a few names here and there in historical accounts. Those hypocrites died as unbelievers after their corruption deeds on earth. They were deified after their demise. God says in the Quran that they will be punished in life and in the afterlife in Hell after Doomsday. Prophet Muhammad died without knowing the true nature of the hypocrites and their fate; "Say, "I am not different from the other messengers; and I do not know what will be done with me, or with you. I only follow what is inspired in me, and I am only a clear warner." "(46:9); thus, prophet Muhammad never knew that they would lead Arabs into wars of invasions and aggression and destroy the pillars of Islamic/Quranic values like liberty, peace, and justice.
4- Likewise, your first wife, the mother of your children, was similar to the foolish hypocrites who showed their hypocrisy easily by their words and deeds; then she used to apologize and later on make the same mistakes. The Quran exposes such hypocrites; yet, those adamant in cunning hypocrisy, like your second wife, became after the death of Prophet Muhammad the so-called ''heroes'' who invaded countries and enslaved people, thus wasting away Quranic sharia. They have become deities in the earthly human-made creeds of Sunnites, Wahabis …etc.
5- Your evil second wife paid the price of her hypocrisy and deceit that done you injustice. The hypocritical companions did grave injustices to many nations: they killed their men, stole their treasures and wealth, raped their women, enslaved their children, confiscated their lands, made the survivors pay huge taxes and tributes, and committed so many atrocities to people who never done any harm to Arabs of Arabia.
6- So, you are so sad about the betrayal of your second wife, while in schools you have been made to learn to take pride in invading Arabs and their conquests that enslaved, raped, and humiliated your ancestors in Egypt. History in schools and universities never tell us about heroes who stood against Arab invaders and tried to stop Arab conquests that aimed to seize their lands. History is filled with conquerors who committed atrocities such as: Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Abou Bakr, Omar, Oman, Ali, Khaled, Mu'awaiya, Hulago, Tamerlane, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, and George Bush Jr.
7- Let your conscience be your judge: those who tried to defend their homeland against invading armies were killed in the process and forgotten by historians. They were not Muslims, but their applied the real Islamic jihad of self-defense as per the Quran. They are our ancestors in whom we should take pride as honorable people. Those hypocrites of the invasions are bad examples followed by all killers and tyrants in all eras.
8- It is well-known that those who defend the unjust ones in history are partners in injustice. Your tragedy with your second wife might lead you to reconsider the black history of Arab invasions, after what we have explained here.
