1- Did Afghani people had the right to defend themselves against the Russian attack on 1979?

No. This case has nothing to do with real Islamic Jihad. Afghani people in that time were politically divided into two parties, the communists and the others. The Soviet Union helped the Afghani communists by invading Afghanistan. This Russian invade was supported by the communist Afghans, while the others were supported by the U.S, Saudis and fanatic Arabs who called it a holy war. After the withdrawal of the Russian troops, the war continued between the Afghani communist regime and the others. Even after the collapse of the communist regime the so called Mujahedeen fought each others.

All the Afghans are Muslims. But they are different sects and cults, some of them are Sunni, others are Shiites and Sufi. Even inside the one sect you find different groups, like Talebans who are fanatic Salafi Wahaby group among the Sunni. Afghani people are also many different ethnic groups; most of them are Bashtone and Tajik. More over, they are different tribes inside every group.

They usually fight each other under many flags. Islam is used among these flags while it has nothing to do with all this bloodsheds. Some Afghani leaders change their flags according to their different political situations, killing the innocent people all the time under different mottoes. General Dohstom, the Tajik leader was communist, then he became Islamist, then he became against the Taliban, the so –called pure Muslims.

Islam has nothing to do with this Afghani case.  It is political war for the vanity of this life.

2- Was there any another option for the Muslim World in that problem of Afghanistan?

Yes. War in the Islamic jurisprudence is the last option. The general rule is the peaceful solution which includes forgiveness and reconciliation, while the fight is the exception. Suppose this Islamic peaceful solution was used against the Russian occupation in 1979, it would save hundred thousands of lives, and we would not hear about Taliban and Ossama Ben Laden and September 11. Remember, the Soviet Union itself and its satellites collapsed peacefully.

3- Is this the same when we talk about the war in Chechnya?

Yes. Some people in Chechnya want to be a part of the Russian Union, while others want to be against the Russians. It is the political struggle for power and wealth. Those people who want to separate Chechnya for themselves started the war against the Russians and the other people of Chechnya committing many war crimes and misusing the name of Islam in these terrorist crimes.

Those terrorist people used to be communists all their life during the time of the late Soviet Union, considering Islam and other religions the opium of the masses. Now they are presenting themselves to us as the pure Muslims to justify their crimes.

If they are really Muslims, they have to obey the rules of Islam in this case. God Says in the Quran: “God does not forbid you from befriending those who did not fight you because of religion, and did not drive you out of your homes. You must treat them justly and kindly. God loves the equitable.

God forbids you from befriending those who fought you because of religion, drive you out of your homes, and helped in banishing you from your homes. You shall not ally them. For those who ally them are wicked: [60: 8 &9]

The Russians did not start this war, nor do they drive those people out from their homes. Even in this war they are not fighting them because of religion of Islam, but because they are terrorists.

4- Why are the Muslim fanatics supporting those terrorists in Chechnya?

Those Muslim fanatics are working to reestablish the old Muslim Empire which used to include Central Asia and Chechnya. They are working to take over all the Muslim regimes from Indonesia to Morocco, and uniting all of them in one Islamic State under their rule to fight the U.S, and the West and the non-Muslims. The collapse of the Soviet Union gives them good chance now to represent themselves as the super power that may face the U.S in this new war which has a new weapon, the internet, and new ammunitions; the suicide bombers.

In this regard, they are talking about the one Muslim Nation [Ommah] which must have Muslim Khelafah, or one Muslim Empire. Of course they want to subjugate all of us under this title. They are trying to brainwash the Muslim masses in that way using the banner of “Islam is the solution” without giving any one the chance to discuss them in their proposal. Whoever discusses them in a peaceful way, they accuse him to be the enemy of Islam and fanatic. That happened to me when I struggled against them intellectually and peacefully for 25 years.
