Assistant Professor, Islamic World History, Stonehill College
ISLAMIC WORLD/WORLD HISTORY: The History Department at Stonehill College
invites applicants for an assistant professor, tenure-track appointment
in the Islamic World/World History to begin August 2011. Area of
specialty is open, but the candidate must be able to teach the history
of the broader Islamic world as well as World History survey courses,
upper division courses in candidate's area of specialty and on
transnational global themes. Annual teaching load is 3-3 and strong
preference will be given to candidates who have graduate training in
world history and/or experience teaching world history. The successful
candidate will have Ph.D. in hand at the time of appointment. The
position includes generous faculty development funds for the support of
research and professional travel.
