State Security Court cancelled the decision to arrest the quranists

In a new development for the quranists crisis, the supreme state security court decided to release 4 of the defendants of the quranists group case and to cancel the decision of the minister of interior affairs to arrest them as there is sufficient reasons for the arrest.

The court hasn’t decided about the 5th defendant as his detention is less than 30 days. In his first comment on the court decision, Adel Ramadan –the coordinator of the defense team- said that the court ruling is not for immediate execution, as it is expected that the minister of interior affairs will appeal the court ruling during a 10 days period since the ruling has been issued. Ramadan added that they will wait for the minister’s decision and then they will decide the next action.

Ramadan said that he expects the Prison administration to allow the lawyers team to visit their clients –the detained quranists- in a few days, after they were not allowed to visit the detained quranists.

Ramadan said that so far it seems there hasn’t been new arrest among in the quranists and the quranists’ families are not harmed. Ramadan suggested that the new arrests that took place in Amr Ibn Alas mosque in Cairo has nothing to do with quranists as the arrested persons were not added to the quranists case.

Comment:
This news clip did not mention families of the arrested quranists had to abandon their habitations because Alazhar accused them to infidels, extremists issued fatwas on them and the state security spread rumors in their neighborhoods saying that they are arrested because they are spies.
