 The Explosion of the Resurrection

Published in June 9, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir, … What is meant by (the caller) in this verse: "On that Day, they will follow the caller, without any deviation. Voices will be hushed before the Dominant Lord, and you will hear nothing but murmur." (20:108)? … Thank you …

Answer:

The (caller) here stands for the second explosion of the Resurrection (and souls of all humanity will be gathered for Judgment) which will follow the first one of the destruction of the universe in the end of days. For more information, see our book, in English, titled "The West and the Miraculous Scientific Indications in the Holy Quran", found on this link:          http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=151

The Lord God says the following in the Quran: "On the Day when He calls you, you will respond with His praise, and you will realize that you stayed only a little." (17:52); "And the Trumpet will be blown, whereupon everyone in the heavens and the earth will be stunned, except whomever God wills. Then it will be blown another time, whereupon they will rise up, looking on. And the earth will shine with the Light of its Lord; and the Book will be put in place; and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought in; and Judgment will be passed among them equitably, and they will not be wronged." (39:68-69); "On the Day when the Trumpet is blown, everyone in the heavens and the earth will be horrified, except whomever God wills; and everyone will come before Him in humility." (27:87); "...And the Trumpet will be blown, and We will gather them together." (18:99); "And the Trumpet is blown: "This is the Promised Day." And every soul will come forward, accompanied by a driver and a witness." (50:20-21); "The Day when the Trumpet is blown, and you will come in droves." (78:18).

Is It A New Religion?!

Published in June 9, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir, … What you say and write goes against the beliefs of mainstream Muslims; this means you have invented a new religion which differs from the Islam we heard of. Admit it, Sir: you have formulated your own new religion and you dismiss those who refuse your Quranism and your views as (polytheists) who embrace earthly/terrestrial religions! … Thank you …

Answer:

Those who formulate or invent a new religion author a book and deem it as 'holy' or divinely revealed. This does NOT apply to us or to Quranism. We have explained in our writings and videos what is to us the Only True Islam: Qurnaism. We believe only in the Quran as the Only Discourse in Islam; we use it as the Criterion to judge (or the Balance to weigh) deeds, words, acts of worship, and faith notions of the Muhammadans. This means that Quranists are not preachers of a new religion; they preach True Islam based on the Holy Quran. To return to the Quran as the Only Source of Islam is a forgotten religious duty. True Islam (i.e., the Quran only) has been abandoned by the evil four sinful pre-Umayyad caliphs Abou Bakr, Omar, Othman, and Ali and also by all those caliphs/rulers who followed their footsteps in sins and tyranny. Their Arab conquests propagated the disbelief in, and the rejection of, the Quran. The Umayyad Era witnessed the emergence of oral traditions/hadiths of the Sunnite and Shiite religions. The Abbasid Era witnessed the emergence of hadiths and fiqh books of the Sunnite, Shiite, and Sufi religions of Satan; these are devilish revelations. Sadly, many nations embraced such terrestrial religions while wrongly assuming they were 'Muslims'. True Islam sank into oblivion for centuries until the Quranist call emerged in Egypt since 1977 by our person. Our haters and foes have repeatedly accused our person and other Quranists of inventing a new religion. Those who have distorted Islam and tarnished its the name are the ones who added the so-called hadiths to it. We take pride in believing in the Quran only and in preaching Quranism as the much-needed peaceful religious reform. We take pride in showing, within our writings, the Only True Islam rejected by Arabs and non-Arabs for the last 14 centuries.

Muhammadans Are Disbelievers

Published in June 10, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir, …  Are all of the Muhammadans deemed as disbelievers by Quranists? What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

1- The disbelievers among the Muhammadans in terms of polytheistic faith and violent demeanor (or aggression) are enthroned tyrants and their men and Wahabi terrorists and their followers; they form a very small minority of the Muhammadans.

2- The disbelievers among the Muhammadans only in terms of polytheistic faith form the vast majority; they mostly adhere to peaceful behavior; they are oppressed by enthroned tyrants; they deify many mortals among historical figures especially an imaginary deity named by them as (Muhammad) which has nothing with the real Prophet Muhammad mentioned in the Quran.

3- Quranists do not declare others as infidels or disbelievers; they do the following:

3/1: They describe deeds, qualities, stances, and words as pertaining to disbelief or to belief; i.e., to polytheism or to Quranic monotheism. They do not describe others as such; this is because mortals can repent (before their death) and be no longer disbelievers/polytheists.

3/2: They never call for murdering or killing anyone among non-Quranists; in contrast, the Sunnite religion of Satan calls for massacring non-Sunnites and those who reject the Sunnite religion after embracing it.

3/3: They reject old religious traditions/hadiths/narratives and must describe certain (inherited) deeds, qualities, stances, and words as pertaining to disbelief so that they preach non-Quranists to return to the Quran as the Only Source of Islam.

3/4: They adhere to peaceful preaching via the cyberspace and they use the Quran as the Criterion to judge deeds/words as pertaining to disbelief. Quranists respect absolute religious freedom for all human beings; they wait for the Lord God's judgment of all humanity on the Last Day.

Stoning of Adulterers

Published in June 10, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir, … Many narratives/hadiths in old, unpublished manuscripts and parchments (my specialty and field of study) assert that adulterers (i.e., married fornicators) should be stoned to death; this is never mentioned in the Quran ............. What is your view of stoning? ....... Some hadiths may be true words of Muhammad.............. … Thank you …

Answer:

This penalty has nothing to do with Islam; Islam is only the Quran. Quranists never believe in hadiths/narratives or fiqh. Most of the hadiths-scholars admit that all hadiths are based on conjectures and never on the Absolute Truth. Muhammad never uttered any hadiths; he died and he never knew before his death that some men of the Abbasid Era would ascribe to him things he never pronounced; he never knew/predicted the future; his words are found exclusively in the Quranic text. We, as a Quranist thinker, never believe in any hadiths whether they match Quranic verses or not.

About the Quranic Verse 36:58

Published in June 10, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir, …  Some people utter this Quranic verse in cases of feeling frightened: "Peace - a saying from a Most Merciful Lord." (36:58). Is this OK within Quranism or not? What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

This is never OK in Quranism/Islam. The context of 36:58 is about greetings of peace from the Lord God to Paradise dwellers: "The inhabitants of Paradise, on that Day, will be happily busy. They and their spouses, in shades, reclining on couches. They will have therein fruits. They will have whatever they call for. Peace - a saying from a Most Merciful Lord." (36:55-58). This is in contrast to Hell dwellers: "But step aside today, you criminals." (36:59); "But whoever brings evil - their faces will be tumbled into the Fire. Will you be rewarded except for what you used to do?" (27:90). This is about Paradise dwellers: "Whoever brings a virtue will receive better than it - and they will be safe from the horrors of that Day." (27:89); "The Supreme Fear will not worry them, and the angels will receive them: "This is your Day which you were promised."" (21:103).

Singing and Reciting the Quran

Published in June 11, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir, … Most Sunnites in their mosque recite the Quran loudly while praying and you consider this as the sin of singing the Quran or turning its text into songs/lyrics sung in tune. Does this means that prayers of the Sunnites are nullified by God and are never acceptable to Him? Any ideas? … Thank you …

Answer:

Yes; their prayers are nullified and lead to polytheism. It is very insulting to the Lord God and to His Word, the Quran, to sing/recite it in groups or individually. This is utter blasphemy and a sign of disbelief. The Lord God accepts prayers performed within reverence, concentration, and piety and resulting in adherence to piety all day long. This is impossible to take place in the polytheistic, harmful mosques filled with sermons of devilish lies/hadiths attributed by force to the Lord God's Religion. Those who adhere to terrestrial religions of Satan deify mortals, mausoleums, and things/items; if they die as polytheists (i.e., without repentance and adherence to the Quranic monotheism), their good deeds and acts of worship are nullified or rendered null and void on the Last Day. This is mentioned in all Divine Scriptures of the Lord God Who warned Muhammad here against polytheism: "It was revealed to you, and to those before you, that if you adhere to polytheism, your works will be in vain, and you will be of the losers." (39:65).

Hadiths about Prayers

Published in June 11, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir, … I tend to think that some hadiths/narratives  ascertain and explain prayers and how to pray; for instance, ..........................This means prayers were known before the descent of the Quran ............... What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

You are supposed to be a Quranist man like our person. These hadiths are mere falsehoods; Muhammad never knew about the metaphysical realm of the past; he never recounted tales about ancient prophets/messengers of the Lord God. We believe in the Quran alone as the Only Source of Islam. We advise you to watch our YouTube videos (within our show titled "Quranic Moments") about prayers.

Stylistic Eloquence by Omission

Published in June 11, 2019

Question:  … Dear Sir, … Why do we see the present tense (and not the past tense) employed here despite the fact that this verse is about the Day of Judgment after the end of days: "The Hour is coming-but I keep it almost hidden - so that each soul will be paid for what it endeavors." (20:15)? Any ideas? … Thank you …

Answer:

This is because 20:15 addresses believers who are alive during their present time; i.e., their lifetime on earth. Besides, one of the features of the stylistic eloquence in the Quranic text is by the omission of certain words understood within the context; this is a lengthy topic which will be tackled in a coming book of ours. This means that (endeavors) in 20:15 actually means (has endeavored), as souls will see the outcome of their deeds.

My Sister Is in Love with my Neighbor!

Published in June 12, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir, … I am a university student and my sister is a high-school student; I noticed that she is in love with my one of my young male neighbors; I watched here closely like detectives; I saw her meet him in secret in a public garden! What am I supposed to do now?! If I would tell my father, he will be furious. Any advice?!  … Thank you …

Answer:

Within patriarchal, backward societies, family honor is supposed to exist only within virtue of females. This is a very wrong notion, especially that young men are allowed to know women of other families; i.e., outside their own families. It is wrong to suppose that love is the exclusive right of males and not for females. It is natural that young men fall in love with young women and vice-versa; this is part of natural instincts to allow marriage and procreation. Love, in the romantic sense, is not prohibited in Islam; extramarital sexual relations are prohibited in Islam. When a man loves a woman and when a woman loves a man, this is OK as long as their relation will not lead to physical intimacy and/or fornication. Your sister has the right to love as long as she keeps her virtue, chastity, and virginity. You should remain friends with the one she loves; their relation must be in broad daylight; even if this first love turns out to be a mere overt admiration which will not last, this is OK. What matters most is not to sin and not to prevent your sister from falling in love so as not to give her the chance to be stubborn and to defy her family. It is OK to inform your parents if they will act wisely and advise your sister calmly and lovingly.

Abraham and Jonah

Published in June 12, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir, … In the Quran, Abraham, Moses, and Muhammad are the most praised messengers; Jonah is rebuked severely because he tried to escape his people instead of continuing his ministry; yet, Abraham is praised despite his saying the following: "And I will withdraw from you, and from what you pray to instead of God. And I will pray to my Lord, and I hope I will not be disappointed in my prayers to my Lord."" (19:48); what is the difference between this stance and that of Jonah, then? Any ideas?  … Thank you …

Answer:

Abraham adhered to patience most of his life and he never escaped; in contrast, Jonah did not adhere to patience and tried to escape instead of continuing his ministry. The Quranic verse 19:48 does NOT imply that Abraham tried to escape; rather, he left the disbelievers in peace since they rejected his call for monotheism; he was patient with them and with his disbelieving father; he argued with them and with their king; they tried to throw him into a bonfire but the Lord God saved him; he was commanded by the Lord God to immigrate and to settle elsewhere. Abraham left them and traveled along with Lot.

Aqeeda and Aqd

Published in June 12, 2019

Question: …  Dear Sir, … The Arabic term (Aqeeda) or faith tenets is employed now and you even use it though it is never mentioned in the Quran. Why is that? Any ideas?  …  Thank you …

Answer:

The derivations of the root A/Q/D (i.e., to draw a contract or to make an agreement or a solemn vow/oath) is employed in some Quranic verses: "To everyone We have assigned beneficiaries in what is left by parents and relatives. Those with whom you have made an agreement, give them their share. God is Witness over all things." (4:33); "God does not hold you accountable for your unintended oaths, but He holds you accountable for yourbinding oaths..." (5:89); "...And do not confirm the marriage tie until the writing is fulfilled..." (2:235); "If you divorce them before you have touched them, but after you had set the dowry for them, give them half of what you specified - unless they forego the right, or the one in whose hand is the marriage contract foregoes it. But to forego is nearer to piety. And do not forget generosity between one another. God is seeing of everything you do." (2:237); "And how can you take it back, when you have been intimate with one another, and they have received from you a solid commitment?" (4:21). The term Aqeeda refers to binding faith ties inside one's soul/heart; this is alluded to within this verse about Satan and devils trying by their whispers to unravel such ties of faith and monotheism of (There is no God but Allah): "And from the evil of those who whisper into the ties." (113:4).

A Quran-Based Country or State

Published in June 13, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir,  … You have written a lot abouta Quran-based country or State which should apply direct democracy and freedoms of all types; yet, you seem to forget that secular countries have no official religion ...................  … Thank you …

Answer:

Of course, a modern state is a legal entity; any states/countries which apply religious and political freedom, democracy, and human rights and defend their citizens and never commit aggression is an Islamic, Quran-based ones in our view; e.g. the USA, the UK, Canada, France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, and the Scandinavian countries. In contrast, the countries of the Muhammadans contradict Islam (i.e., Quranism).

Viagra Is Not Prohibited

Published in June 13, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir, … Some young, healthy married men use Viagra (and other pills for elongating the duration of their erections) despite their not suffering from any penile erection dysfunction; this may prove harmful in the future after years of marital life; right? Their use of Viagra must be prohibited, right? Any ideas? …  Thank you …

Answer:

No. It is not prohibited to use Viagra; one must never prohibit any items never mentioned as such in the Quranic text. Prohibition in Islam is the right of God only; He is the Only Legislator in Islam and the Sole Owner of Quranic legislations. We have no right to question God by asking why certain items are prohibited and some are not. This means we are not to seek reasons behind the prohibition of consumption of wine and flesh of pigs, for instance. You must never imitate or follow the footsteps of Salafists/Wahabis who prohibit a long list of items under the pretext of avoiding harmful things; they follow their own whims. Being harmful is never a reason to prohibit permissible items in Islam; e.g., smoking; otherwise, the list of prohibited items will be so long and will include most food items. This is never part of Islam. True monotheists must never add any item to the Quranic list of prohibited items. Had Viagra existed in the Middle-Ages, promiscuous caliphs would have used it; may the Lord God curse them all.

About the Quranic Verse 2:286

Published in June 14, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir,  … Quranists are peaceful people who never carry arms/weapons or fight in any wars; yet, how this supplication would apply to them like the rest of monotheists of the past eras: "...You are our Lord and Master, so grant us victory over the disbelieving people." (2:286)? Any ideas? … Thank you …

Answer:

This is part of the supplication of monotheists: "..."Our Lord, do not condemn us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, do not burden us as You have burdened those before us. Our Lord, do not burden us with more than we have strength to bear; and pardon us, and forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Lord and Master, so grant us victory over the disbelieving people."" (2:286). The Lord God's victory/support granted to true believers and preachers of the Truth is not only within self-defense wars; victory is also in other situations in life and the greatest triumph or supreme victory is in the Hereafter when they enter into Paradise after they bear witness (like messengers/prophets) against their peoples. Moral victory is granted to patient, persecuted, and slandered preachers of the Quranic Truth. The Truth shall prevail at the end and the perseverant callers of the Quranic Truth will be rewarded in this world and the next one. In our case, since 1977, haters of Quranism and our person who persecute and slander our person provide much-needed, free publicity to our Quranist writings; this is beneficial to us. Now in 2019, the number of Quranists worldwide has increased and so is the number of Arab thinkers who attack and criticize fiqh and hadiths. We implore the Lord God to make us, on the Day of Judgment, among those who will bear witness against their contemporaries; this is the supreme victory and triumph. The Lord God says the following in the Quran: "...God supports whoever supports Him. God is Strong and Mighty." (22:40); "Our Word has already gone out to our servant messengers. It is they who will be victorious." (37:171-172); "Most surely We will support Our messengers and those who believe, in this life, and on the Day the witnesses arise." (40:51); "O you who believe! If you support God, He will support you, and will strengthen your foothold." (47:7).

Fish and Milk, Again!

Published in June 14, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir,  … Of course, I agree wholeheartedly with you that there are no hadiths in Islam at all. Yet, I wonder why some hadiths contain some true scientific knowledge esp. about remedies and nutrition; e.g., the hadith of never to consume fish and milk at the same time (or the same day); I ate fish and drank milk later on within the same day and I felt sick and vomited ............ What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

Some hadiths about remedies and nutrition reflect the culture and the eras of the authors of such hadiths who experimented with herbs and food to provide remedies for people; sadly, such people ascribed their medical views (formulated in the form of hadiths) to Muhammad. Muhammad (and, of course, Islam) has nothing to do with such hadiths, even of some of the medical pieces of advice in them turned out to be true as per modern scientific research. When we were a child, we heard a joke about not to consume fish and milk together so as not to go mad; this joke involves a man who consumed fish and milk for days and then stood stark naked in the street, screaming at people that he is not mad despite consuming fish and milk for days on end!

To Exaggerate in Religion

Published in June 16, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir, … What is meant by (to exaggerate in religion)? Does this expression refer to religious extremism of our era and/or of the past eras? …  Thank you …

Answer:

No; it refers to polytheism and rejection of the monotheistic testimony of (There is no God but Allah); this is mentioned twice in the Quran: "Say, "O People of the Book! Do not exaggerate in your religion beyond the truth; and do not follow the opinions of people who went astray before, and misled many, and themselves strayed off the balanced way."" (5:77); "O People of the Book! Do not exaggerate in your religion, and do not say about God except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, is the messenger of God, and His Word that He conveyed to Mary, and a Spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers, and do not say, "Three." Refrain - it is better for you. God is only one God. Glory be to Him-that He should have a son. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and the earth, and God is a sufficient Protector." (4:171).

Encompassing/Vast

Published in June 16, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir,  … I'd like you to explain to me the Quranic terms (encompassing/vast) which describe the Lord God  … Thank you …

Answer:

These terms and their derivations are associated with some Holy Names/Epithets of the Lord God: "Those who avoid gross sins and indecencies - except for minor lapses - your Lord is of vast forgiveness..." (53:32); "...but My mercy encompasses all things..." (7:156); "...say, "Your Lord is Possessor of vast mercy..." (6:247); "...He encompasses everything in knowledge. " (20:98); "...My Lord encompasses all things in knowledge..." (6:80); "And if they separate, God will enrich each from His abundance. God is Vast and Wise." (4:130).

Obeying God's Messengers

Published in June 19, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir, … The Lord God says the following in the Quran: "We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by God's leave. Had they, when they wronged themselves, come to you, and prayed for God's forgiveness, and the messenger had prayed for their forgiveness, they would have found God Relenting and Merciful." (4:64). Does the underlined part negate freedom of action by people who witnessed the emergence of messengers?! What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

Of course not. Human beings are free agents; the Lord God has created them that way. Only true monotheists obey messengers; i.e., obey the divine messages they conveyed. People are free to choose to (dis)obey and to (dis)believe; the Lord God never interferes in that choice and this test. Human beings are free to choose (mis)guidance; they will bear the consequences or outcome of their choices for eternity either in Hell or Paradise. Within all Quranic stories of the Lord God's messengers/prophets, there are those who chose guidance/belief and those who chose misguidance/disbelief. The Quranic story of Muhammad is no exception to this rule. There were hypocrites and disbelievers in Arabia who chose misguidance and rejected the Quranic message; Muhammad frequently implored the Lord God to forgive them; many hypocrites feigned being among believers to deceive Muhammad and the monotheists. The Lord God accepted the repentance of some of them who truly and sincerely repented and asked Muhammad to implore God to forgive them after they embraced Islam and believed in the Quran.

(Il)legitimate Son!

Published in June 19, 2019

Question: … Dear Sir, … In the vernacular dialect of Egyptian Arabic, some people describe nerds and very clever persons, jokingly, as illegitimate sons, whereas good-natured persons are described as legitimate sons! Is this OK as per Quranism or not? Any ideas? … Thank you …

Answer:

This is never OK; this contains prohibited (un)intentional slandering of women; i.e., mothers of those persons described as illegitimate sons. This is against Islamic piety. Besides, being good-natured has nothing to do with being a natural son or a legitimate son; one must never claim to have God-like Omniscience.

Muhammad and Women Who Are Married to Non-Muslims

Published in February 13, 2009

Question: … Dear Sir, … How did Prophet Muhammad treat women who were married to non-Muslims? Did he ever make anyone, man or woman, end their marriage because they weren't married to Muslims? … Thank you …

Answer:

Prophet Muhammad has nothing to do with them. Some of his ardent enemies (i.e., the hypocrites) lived in Yathreb under his authority as the leader of the Yathreb city-state at that time. According to the unlimited freedom of speech and freedom of religion in Islam, everyone is free to say and to (dis)believe as one chooses as long one does not compel others in religion and/or persecute them or kill them unjustly. Did Muhammad ever make anyone, man or woman, end their marriage because they were not married to Muslims? Absolutely not. This view of ours is based on the Quranic story of Muhammad, of course.
