Freedom House is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications for candidates to participate in the following program, upon the availability of funds: 

 

 

 

1)  One Week Study Tour to Jordan:

 

 

 

This 1 week program is intended for bloggers and human rights and democracy advocates that are interested in learning more about Web 2.0 social networking and New Media tools, including SMS and digital audio and videos production and broadcasting.  Participants will receive training on how to effectively use new media applications and anti censorship techniques.  Ideal participants will have experience working with new media and are leading cyber-activists in their field.

 

 

 

The program is open to applicants of 22 years of age and over.  English language knowledge is required to participate in the program. The applicant also needs to send his blog as a working project as part of the application process. 

 

 

 

Priority of Selection is for New Generation Forum Members

 

 

 

Participants will have the opportunity to participate in a practical Study Tour to the United States of America upon end of training through additional selections.

 

 

 

This program will take place on November 13th 2009.
